Thank you for this tutorial! I have been asking my mother permissions to buy a beret she doesn't allows me, I'm not mad at her but sad I couldn't get it, now I can just make it! Thank you again! 💞
@@shiownz that’s so nice! Actually, your comment motivated me to make my own black beret so thank YOU. Keep doing what makes you happy and I wish you the best in the future. ☺️
Thank you so much! I downloaded a free beret pattern, cut out all my fabric and then realised the instruction file was missing! This was a total life saver :)
Your visuals and explanation are great! Demo is very much appreciated. That is a lovely beret and very easy to make. Good tip about the slippery lining. I think also that the tail should be attached to both pieces of cloth separately before joining. I am going to make matching berets for me and my dog. Thank you! April - please consider no music in your DIY demo videos. The brain cannot process distracting music and learning at the same time. The selection of music in this video was a good one but needs to be even softer or turned off.
A warning to people with big heads.... I did not think my head was big but this beret did not fit me!! I would recommend making the circles bigger, especially the hole in the donut circle!! Try measuring your head first or something :(((
I have a bunch of wool felt I want to make berets with this is much thinner fabric than I was hoping would be used. :/ How will this work with thicker and stiffer fabric like I have?
Hi! Sorry, but I wrote with a google translator. do you think a french cap could be sewn from a slightly thinner fabric by ironing such a thick glue to hold it?
I did ittttt. . My beret finishhhh . Thanks for the tutorial. And luckily im using the old leftover red plain fabric. It took me 30 mins smthg to finish it because i am using hand sewing manually. I apprreciate your tutorial. Keep it up! 😁 (Luckily my fabric bit Elastic)
Hello, The main body of the beret hat (upper section)or the (Half circle) is size 14 cm, and 7.05 cm for the bottom (lower section). I have shown it at the very beginning of the video. Have a nice day.

Goooooooooouuuude
How do you make a velvet beret that fits close to the head instead of puffy like a shower curtain?
Thank youuuuuu i love this vid
I’m a kid 12 years old and would your measurements work for my head?
Hello...well that depends...if your head circumference is around 52 cm then yes !
I have a bunch of wool felt I want to make berets with
this is much thinner fabric than I was hoping would be used. :/
How will this work with thicker and stiffer fabric like I have?
Then you have to make your pattern a little bit larger..
@@MadeByApril oh! thank you so much for the prompt answer!
I'm gonna try it
Can you please make a pattern
Hi!
Sorry, but I wrote with a google translator.
do you think a french cap could be sewn from a slightly thinner fabric by ironing such a thick glue to hold it?
Hello...Yes, sure.. I think you can use any kind of fabric that you have..
It took her forever,
It took me never to measure the paper.
Your beret looks so.... Good.

And i add the tiny top 3cm only 😅
Oh and i dont add the lining but its alright eheheh
That's great,, I'm happy for you, and I'm really glad that this video helped you.. :D...Thanks once again,, have a nice day.
I don't have a pattern how do I do it
How about people that don't use CM but uses inches how can you understand
Hello...There is a way for that..they just need to use a "cm to inch" converter online
May I know what fabrics could be used?
Any kind of fabric will do it just need to be a bit stretchy :) around 2 % elastic for example.
What is your head measurement
Hello, my head measurement is 52 cm..
@@MadeByApril OK thanks a lot it turned out amazing 😍😍
Serait il possible d'avoir les mesures en cm ? Merci
Bonjour, les mesures sont en cm. Merci d'avoir regardé.
Plz vive me the patterne
