- On Europe Day, President Museveni graced the official celebrations to mark the EU's 60th anniversary and hailed the block as a true friend of Africa and Uganda.
President Museveni used the occassion to commend the EU for its solidarity with the people of Uganda and stated that the EU remains a loyal partner, helping the country on its development path. In his remarks, Mr Museveni said the future of Africa and Europe will remain bright as long as opportunities that exist between the two continents are tapped into. He added that Africa and Europe's relations should be based on pportunities that are available in Investments, Trade and Tourism.
Hello from Kenya. I have come to respect this man, Museveni. He is diplomatic, bold, intelligent,and patriotic. He is so different from many African presidents.

*We are sovereign independent countries with Presidents. Hence, our diplomatic representatives in the so- called Commonwealth of Nations should be called, simply, 'Ambassadors' and do away with such outdated diplomatic niceties of 'High Commissioners'!*
