How to "ACTUALLY" unlock P.O.W.s in [Metal Slug Defense] (Tips and tricks)

- "Actually" as in, it's random but now you know!
Prisoners of war (Mostly known as "P.O.W.") offer extra power to your units and base. The effect ranges from more health to your unit and bases to extra damage and even hidden units only obtainable through POWs.
However, the method for unlocking them it is never specified, and there are plenty of rumors on invisible requirements for them to appear (low ap, only beating the stage with 1 unit, etc)
But, after playing for a while, I figured out it is just a matter of luck, as the "hit areas" within the level change every time you enter, giving you different items each time, and every so often, POWs.
While using items like the Radar or the Binoculars help, I would recommend using the Radar to unlock the "Samurai Plane" on the Alternate World, (Eris, Sunday only) and spending on the binoculars is just not worth it.
I've unlocked every single P.O.W. through this method, good luck!

a strat that works almost every time to get P.O.Ws
lv up the AP thing > send out sandbag > send out mini hermit > send out soldier
this strat works if you prioritize leveling sandbag and development speed level early on. mini hermit can reveal most items that are near the ground. spam soldier spec atk whenever available to collect them.

I use zombie(heroes) characters when the chariot reach their range limit ... Their special works like a scanner ... Sometime pow hiding on the ceiling above the base careful not to miss them out

Ngl i find the rebel soldier just as effective because you can just spam his grenade throw attack and get the hidden items...
Oh and better yet, you get the regular army ver. of the same unit for free at the beginning anyways🤷🏻
The land-seek (rebel army half track with aa gun) is also pretty good for the same task but its a bit expensive (both 'cause u gotta buy it with medals & in combat at 120ap) so it takes a while to get one in the level😁👍🏻

i wouldnt entirely say random. my method where is,
build up your money and dont send till the last second and hit as close to your base as possible.
like if your guys are shooting right out of your base and dont take a step. then somewhere they will find one guy.
thats one of them and i usually unlock every time.
im just saying it works for me.

I frankly don't think it's worth playing anymore. If any, I'd skip to "Metal Slug Attack"
I'm not sure if they are still supporting Defense but might as well get the newest game. However, I do like Defense for being more simple to play, Bottom line, play Attack.

It's rather confusing at first, as every unit has different upgrades and weaponry. I'd say just play the campaign missions until you feel ready for online gameplay.

The medals may be only on android, the PC version might have the micro transaction as the only way to get additional content. I didn't played it on PC so I can't really tell.
