Make me an offer over $8,500.00. If it doesn't sell it will be listed on Bring a Trailer at the end of April 2021
🙋
All I have is my truck and 4,500$ . Please respond if intested.
@@jimmyhamm9737 Sell the truck and bring me the full $8,500 is all I can do... provided its not sold by the end of April.
Still got it?
@@tv4184 Yes :)
keep it. a very rare car....especially with the square back.
think about it...where have you seen another one?
i have not seen a square back anywhere in years.....except mine that i bought in 1986.
Beautiful car I love that model tank’s a lot 😊.
DO NOT SELL THIS!!! you will regret it
What a perfect example.
is still available?
this is so fire
I have it btw; I want side panels like yours above the tires
I remember this model back in the 80s. Especially the coupe that nobody wants, everybody was looking for the hatch back because of the sport looking. I saw one those here in UA-cam 3 door with a Toyota V8 engine swap and it looks like yours factory install. Great condition and great video enjoy it.
Hi. Thank your for the positive compliment.:) I did see the one you mentioned with the Lexus V8 swap on UA-cam. I thought about doing the same thing....but instead swapped one into a 1991 Mazda Miata. The Celica deserved the 22RTE even though it was slower.
Cheers and thank you for watching. :)
Regards,
Brian and Gayle
Nice car.
...NICE...
Happy to see clean examples like this one still around! My first car was an 83 coupe. That thing was a ripper!
Hi there. It's the nicest one I've ever owned. Still....it doesn't get the love that the MK2 Supra gets...buts that's alright. :)
I'll take it 😊
Hey yeah, I have a stock 84 celica hatchback, and ik turbo charged engines are made a little stronger and different to handle a turbo but if I were to find a turbo from one of these and strap it onto mine, do you think that could possibly work? And I'm pretty sure I would also change the ecu while I'm at it
Hi Jake. Yes... I believe if you used the 22RTE injectors/ECU/Turbo and Manifold/22RTE Engine harness and ignition system....that it would work on a 22RE. I will say that you may have to retard the timing maybe 2-3 degrees and use 93 Pump gas. Also....you will need an oil feed line for the Turbo so as to not seize it up. I always wanted to try this idea but never had the chance. If you do make a successful attempt at trying this and it works....please send me a link to your videos.
Regards,
Brian
@@watchesandwheels2093 for sure will do, I just have to have some luck on finding one in a junk yard or used online, and for sure I will make a video of the process if I do
Nice had one near identical with tan interior and a electric sun roof great little car wish I still owned it.
Only 4,485 in 1985 were made into convertibles and less then 200 in 1984
Do the math it’s worth $500 bucks today technology
Hey watches and wheels! I actually have very good news, it's been a bit but I've been able to get my hands on all the 22rte stuff and I'm about to throw it on my 22re celica gts, I've rebuilt the engine and put lower compression pistons so it can run properly with less worry. I've done alot of research and it looks like it should work, ill make some videos soon enough so you could have a look
Only difference really is that the original turbo has been replaced by a turbo from a mk3 supra turbo
I had the same in light blue, do you still have it for sale?
The guy that wants it has till the end of April to pay the $8,500. If he does not buy it..it's going on Bring a Trailer at the end of April early May.
I find the backstory of this car super interesting. Great car, I'm glad you and the California woman took meticulous care of this little Celica.
Well thank you for the positive compliment. :)
It is a special car with known history since new. I'm hoping the next owner will appreciate what their getting. It going to be auctioned very soon.
Thats not a 85 thats a 83 or 82
Omg i love it , damn wish I could afford that ..had one in high school , and didn't no how rare it was
Hi Al.....it almost make me think I should hold onto mine. You think the price I'm asking is fair?
If your anything like me and a little wiser in my older years , I would definitely keep it . I've also seen some pristine both notch backs and verts go for much higher over the last couple year's . Like you said the hatch backs were everywhere..i remember when I got my 85 in grade 12, i loved it , but still didn't sink in to how rare it was .. I had a cop as a neighbor that always told me to it was unique and I should hold on to it . As a young one I didn't really listen, i still talk to him as he is still neighbours with my parents and he still brings it up lol. Met my wife of 26 years and going stong when i first got it and would love to have it back
I just bought this car! I'm working real hard to fix it up
sweet
I want to see videos. What color is yours?
How much are you giving it up for if you do decideto sell it?
I've had multiple offers to sell for $8,500.00. I'll be listing the car on Bring a Trailer at the end of April. I believe the car will sell for more than that. So...first 10K takes it right now.
Such a nice car. Wished I'd seen the vid before you sold it. I have a blue 85 GTS. It's almost in as good shape as yours, but does not have a turbo.
I might have been a bidder.
my attainable dream car. very nice
Keep it and put a car cover over it. you can use it from time to time, I just bought a 1984 Celica GTS Convertible and I look forward to restoring it to its formal glory. Do you have extra parts that you are selling such as the turn signal light covers?
No turn signals covers. I do have a mint black dash pad and some misc other parts. What else do you need? I might have the parts.
@@watchesandwheels2093 yes I need the right side rear back seat latch that keeps the seat from folding forward. Also the center console part that goes around the manual shift gear. I believe it's the square plastic that surrounds the stick shift.
@@richardbarreto6205 Hi Rich. Sorry I don't have those parts.
@@watchesandwheels2093 Thank you and no worries, I appreciate you getting back to me.
@@richardbarreto6205 Your welcome. Wish I could have helped you better.
You are the Bob Ross of car reviewing 🙌🏼😂
Hello from california! Sooo is it still available ?
Hi Billy. I'm on the fence right now with what to do with it. I'll probably make my decision in spring. I can let you know then if your still interested...if not I'm going to list it on Bring a Trailer. Thank you for the inquiry.
Best offer over $8,500.00 takes it right now.
Always loved that rwd era of Celica, also think notchback is sharper style. Love it, enjoy!
Are you still considering selling?
Yes. I've had at least 5 solid offers of $8,500.00. I'm going to list it on Bring a Trailer at the end of April. I think the car may fetch $10,000 so.....The first 10K takes it right now.
Alright, after having watched both videos, you obviously love the car. You said it yourself though, you love Farrah more. Ever consider building a bigger garage? haha. It's a hot market like you said and your price seems fair so sit back and enjoy. I'm sure someone will come knocking. It'd be a hit on bringatrailer
Believe me, I fell in love with this model back in the 80s, if I could find a good clean one here in my country, I would get one
Still have it ?
No, its sold
I have the exact same car but my celica is non turbo and automatic but love it though!!
Same! I got mine 2 years ago and just passed 100k miles on the original 22RE.
😍😍
Hello do u still own this car
Sorry....I sold it a few months ago.
How to reach you?
At the end of the day even the coolest Toyota Celica on the planet is still a Toyota celica. PS do us a favor and don't chew gum while you're on a hot mic.
Your right. I regret that and now the car is sold...I can't make another video.
👍👍
That's funny, I have an white 85GT-S , blue interior, in awesome condition, and with an 22RTE in it. With only 150k miles on it. Mine is a hatch. I wouldn't take less than $8500. Every time I think of selling I cringe. Don't do it.
I think I'm gonna take your advise. I know I'll never get another one like this. I'm glad you feel the same way about the price for our cars too. :)
(1)--Do you have detailed videos of your car? I would really like to see it.
(2)--Is yours stock? Mods?
(3)-What's your location? I think you said VA?
Maybe we can get together when the weathers nice.
Regards, Brian
@@watchesandwheels2093 Brian, I don't have videos, just photos. I think it's perfect stock, no need for mods. aside from the engine. In Norfolk. Let me know a way to PM you and we'll stay in touch.

😍😍😍😍😍💪
HOW HUCH U WANT
Sorry..it sold
exactly how i would want an a60 celica. too bad im 13.
anyway i watched the video a bit further AND WHAT??? 2K MILES?? FOR ONLY 8K
No..it has 200K. I wish it did have 2,000 miles.
@@watchesandwheels2093 why did you say 2k then?
@@Kosoku63I I did say 202 thousand miles at around 10 minutes into the video. Where in the video did I say 2K? Tell me the timeline in the video where I say that?
@@watchesandwheels2093 I might have misheard something lol. i watched it at night and i think i was too tired
No Worries. Thank you for watching. I'll be making more videos of the Celica. :)
My celica 85 has 135k miles
Bought from original owner with all the paper work :)
Let me have it ...it's beautiful
#1 - quit chewing that silly gum dusting content. #2 - You are using the word “yet” several times during this video in an incorrect text or meaning. Use Webster. #3 - the interior is hideous so chill. #4 - the oiling and cooling of your set-up is really short sided.
#1 your right. #2 You are wrong look up the word.#3 You are wrong. #4 You are wrong. What have you built? Nothing on your channel. Cheers :)
This was my car in high school!
i need thes car man
If your interested I have a 2002 truck and
4,000$ Interested ; leave a comment.
SO WHY ARE YOU SELLING IT? SEEMS LIKE YOU LIKE IT TOO MUCH...
Well. I'm not sure I'm completely committed to letting it go. I've had it 12 years and I'm losing my indoor garage space for another car that's worth more money. Plus...I don't drive it very much....considering I put about 2,000 miles on it in the last 12 years. If the money is there...I may let it go...or I'll wait and list it on Bring a Trailer in the spring.
Your car is so aware some Get rid of it by selling it to me
Hey can you email me Im interested, im in NJ came come take it from you, Thanks MIke.
