  • This eighth episode is devoted to a rare American car from the 1950s.
Indeed, CHRYSLER decided to create the IMPERIAL brand in order to move into the luxury segment and compete with CADILLAC and other LINCOLNs from the FORD group.
We present to you the first generation 1955 IMPERIAL NEWPORT in its C69 "two-door hardtop" coupe version and equipped with a 5.4L Hemi V8.
This model is in concours condition and one of the rare survivors of the 3,418 examples that left the production lines. A potentially unique model in France in this condition.
At this time, there was a revival with this IMPERIAL since Virgil Exner abandoned the rotund pre-war shapes, with their prominent wings and their domed hood in favor of lower and more fluid lines.
Thierry gives us the pleasure of presenting this rarity and his attachment to this old one.
