Inf dormin Calculation share please
35000units of heparin dilute in 500ml n/s Dr advised to state 25 ml / hr be infused h
How many units/hr will be infuse?
Please easy formula?
Total units of heparin in the bag = 35,000 units
Total volume in the bag = 500 ml
Infusion rate = 25 ml/hr
First, calculate the units of heparin per milliliter:
Units of heparin per milliliter = 35,000 units / 500 ml = 70 units/ml
Now, you can calculate the units of heparin infused per hour:
Units of heparin per hour = Units of heparin per milliliter × Infusion rate.
Units of heparin per hour = 70 units/ml × 25 ml/hr = 1,750 units/hr
So, 1,750 units of heparin will be infused per hour.
