Nice find. I can listen to a K20 going through the gears all day. I'm casually looking for an 8th gen with similar specs to yours. These cars are hidden gems. Not quite as pure as an EM1 but like you said they still have a tiny bit of that 90s Honda rawness.
I wouldn't say they are hidden gems people know how good they are but i agree that this car is going to become more sought after since Honda has ditch the High rpm Vtec engine for the small turbo ones.
I own an OEM civic si 2009/2010 sedan in Brazil since may-2017 just like yours, I'm enjoying my car since I bought it. Almost 60000miles. In Brazil the civic is considered a car for well sucedeed people - sad, but true. This configuration - a manual transmission 2.0liter aspirated is practically impossible to find in modern cars, especially in Brazil . The Civic Si in Brazil is becoming a collectible car. A fey days ago, a random guy put a note on my windshield interested to buy it, but I didn't answer. Hear the VTEC sound is awesome
I almost done paying off my 2012 si and man if I can get lucky and find a 2011 si with low mileage I’m getting it! There’s just something about that K20z3 motor. My 2012 civic si is amazing. More torquey for sure but that k20 is more spirited.
I say this on just about every video but the 8th Gen Si was the best generation of civic. Props to you for finding one with the paint in good shape. These infamously always showed clear coat issues but this one looks like it was taken care of.
Those look like the wheels from the 9th-gen EX-L's, I believe they were 17 inch wheels. I replaced just the bulbs in my fogs with yellow ones instead of adding the film, so they look clear until you turn them on. Also the people shocked by the price you paid have not been watching prices skyrocket over the past 3 years
Great find. I also have a 2011 FA5, though in silver-I'm envious of the HFP exhaust on yours, super rare. Though I prefer the look of the OEM tip, in the northeast, the weld nut holding it onto the tailpipe has long disintegrated so it rattles, and I'm currently holding it on with a stainless steel tie lol
Nice video, i commented on civic X, i was the one with the red 8thgen let me know were you get shift boot, im trying to get one also, and nice HPD muffler truly rare part to find now days
I have the same car it has 170k and runs great this 8th gen is the best one imo it pulls well considering the size of the engine so much potential very good looking too mine is blue
15K??? Definitely on the high end, but it seems like a good car. I'm considering making an offer for an 08 with great paint and 125K miles, but I prefer 09+ for the improved transmission, so I'm kinda on the fence and hoping one hits the market. Would be my new commuter car and my offer would be no more than 8K max based on KBB value. Do you know if it's difficult to find trunks for these cars? Previous owner had a Mugen wing that was poorly mounted and now there are holes in the current trunk. Anyway, good video! I'll definitely be watching your progress!
I think that's a myth! I have a 2011 SI and the transmission is a mystery it has all the same issues as the previous I think ppl say that bc they will probably have lower miles being newer my 2011 so now has 160k and 2nd and 5th lock you out or grind 😭
@@repingers9777 It's possible! Who knows with cars that are 10+ years old now. I bet it's even more dependent on if previous owners drove like idiots and thrashed the transmission. It's all a crap shoot!
well if the previous owners drove like I do I'd be worried 😂😂😂. I got a white fa5 that I bought for 10k at 155k miles completely stock 8/10 condition of course there's the dealer mark up but really the car should be like 7-8k the car market is messed up rn. Paying that much for a car with that many miles is so weird but it's a Honda
@Re:Pingers Well if you're not driving it like that people shouldn't be buying an Si! Ideally I want white here in the desert (AZ) but any Si that isn't trash or salvaged is slim pickings! And you're right about the market, even the crappy ones are overpriced! "I know what I have" 😂. GTFO, I'll wait, lol. I love Honda, but it's not a Ferrari! Hopefully prices will come back down to earth soon. Take care brother, enjoy your ride! 👌
I own a 2015 Honda Civic Si HFP with 60k and a 07 Civic Si FA5 Fiji blue pearl HFP with 110k and I absolutely prefer my 07. I call my 2015 "customer service". Way too electronic and far from the manual rawness of the 07.
Absolutely, the new Si is I’m sure an awesome car. It looks great and has had rave reviews. The modern Civic is just much more refined, a good thing in a lot of ways, but I appreciate the simplicity of the 8th gen.
@@autojunkyfl I like ths Si, it handles curves flawlessly, but it's overkill for me. I'm older, and had my performance cars, but don't drive too fast now. I will probably get a Civic Sport Hatchback, or maybe the Sport Touring Hatchback for the Bose Stereo, leather seats and such, but I actually prefer the simplicity of thevSport and the more reliable N/A 2.0L. Plus K Tuner can bring the power upnto the level of the non Si 1.5L turbo.
@@autojunkyfl for sure, had it for a few months now and has been far too great for me, also just got the windshield tinted for that sweet Texas heat, I actually get cold when it's 98° outside
I think people have yellow fog lights because of the JDM version, but practically yellow light helps with night vision. Theoretically yellow fog lights should be better for visibility
I don't get how the prices are so high where you live. If I sold my 2010 SI sedan I'd expect to get like 7K Canadian for it based on comparables. If I ever decide to list I'll have to figure out how to get clicks from the US. Clean sedan btw. Mine is blue, but otherwise the same. All original 2 owners bought from the dealer it was originally bought new from.
Yeah, $15k for me felt steep, but that’s where the market is at right now for these Si’s at least here in the states. Would have loved to have bought one out of Canada for $7k CD!
I bought a 2011 FG2 brand new. Had it a couple years. Here I am now, a month ago just got a 2007 FA5. Loving it.

Bro is living my dream. An si civic with a type r😩✨. I’m saving up for the new type r for next summer.
Nice to see one of these still stock and clean. Although I would have modded it before it even got to my house😭

I have 09 ralleye red, I just put a full race exhaust and I love the way it sounds. Been wanting to boost it but may just leave as is

8th gen !! Love these civics especially that k20z3!
More videos of this car please! I'm gonna buy the same one!!
Last & best of the 8th Gen series. Miss mines ebery

That red 8th gen you’ve got is a clean gem as well. Never get rid of that thing ✅

Cool video this car was definitely a good pickup

I just bought an HFP lip kit for my 15 si coupe they look so good. I should get the whole kit, rear and sideskirts
@@M5Ak Yup! That's what I have. All the way around. $1800 bucks. Dealer installed at the time of purchase.

That's why I have yellow drl/brights because of that and visibility.
beautiful. i have the same but a coipe
It's a testament to how good these cars are when you spend $15,000 on an old ass Civic
Beautiful 😍
How much would three accidents ... (One major rear end..( not totalled) and two minor collision) reduce the price ?
Best si gen ..all day
