Chuck Black Art
Chuck’s work will be remembered like Robert Woods famous paintings in another Five years Bravo! RFK
This is the first painting video that I watched from start to finish without fast forwarding to the end result. You are not only very talented, you're also entertaining explaining it to me. I can't wait to try mountains for the first time!
Hi Chuck! This came up in my feed, and it's from 5 years ago! I've watched you paint for years now, so this was a real treat. I wonder what the result would be if you painted this piece again today in 2023. Your technique is still sort of the same, but a lot has changed. It's so cool to see how you've developed and changed over time in your approach to your artwork. I just think it would be a cool thing to do with an old piece. Keep painting!!
Gorgeous, as always. I think I learn something every time I watch one of your videos.
I am a huge fan and have been watching your more recent videos. However I went back and found this one which I absolutely love. I want to attempt this which you give detail instructions to follow. I'm feeling intimated because I consider myself still in the learning stage but will give it a shot. Whats the worst that can happen, right? Thank you for a full length video showing us how you do a landscape painting from start to finish. You are such a perfectionist with all the very fine details! A pleasure to watch and and you inspire me to try harder. Thank you so much Chuck, you are an amazing artist!!!
Love your videos
You are brilliant at this art class.
I will get my daughter to help me enrol in your art x
I love watching you paint. What a wonderful talent you have. I learn so much.😁
Thank you so much Chuck, you promised you would do this from the beginning and you did!! I so appreciate it. I'm going to paint this following along with your tutorial...can't wait to get started. Thanks again, it's beautiful!!!
You're welcome, Debbie and thank you!
so awsome to be able to watch you paint. i like this longer and more detailed . thank you so very much.
Absolutely Beautiful.... Really 💘 your work. Looking forward to the one with the cabin.
what I love about your lessons is that I feel as though I am also having a story told as you explain each step. Very soothing. I love painting and look at your videos all the way through before I begin one. Thanks
Thanks Geri I appreciate it. Love to hear that!
I have watched about 10 of your videos and haven't gotten up the nerve to try one yet. I've been doing easy paintings, following another artist, but I think I am ready for your art now. I'm gonna give it a try. I love your paintings.
Thank you! Give it a try soon. I never grow as an artist when I attempt something I'm comfortable with. The lessons come from my failures and never my successes.
you make it look so easy. I tried one last night and gave up. I never painted a sky before.

You are a realastic painter and I also learn from this videos.
Wow... So beautiful
Incredible work buddy.
Beautiful
I am thrilled to see how to do the entire sky, thank you!
You are amazing. I so much enjoy watching your videos, working up the courage to attempt one!
Thank you Kristie. Just go for it you will surprise yourself! :)
The sky is kicking my butt! And the water too. But in my defense, this is the very first project I've EVER attempted. The snowman at the sip and paint class I went to doesn't count. And I probably don't have have the greatest tools and I had to compromise colors. Haha, not that would have made it a masterpiece. If I could just get your sky.... You make it look so easy. Thank you again for sharing your talent.

Hi Chuck, I love watching your videos and so I was going to paint one of your paintings, but what paint should I get and where should I get them. Is hobby lobby a good place to buy my art supplies?

Really nice! Just one question; what size is the canvas?
Superb👌👌
It's really beautiful. Thank you for showing us your techniques. How long did you actually, physically, paint on this beauty?
Thanks Lindy! perhaps 3-5 hours..?
Pinto quadros também.
Do you have any water oil painting lessons or can you explain in a future video?
hello,,,Awsome painting.I have never done acrylic before and just got a new set to start doing it,I have been doing oil painting the wet on wet technique for 10 yrs.this seems like a lot more time invoved.i can do a oil painting ,,landscape ,,mountains,,lakes,,,boats and it takes me about an hour it's pretty fast once I know what I want.how long does it take for acrylic.my technique I use the wet on wet u actually want to work with wet paint,,this looks like there is drying time in between the layers.how long did that painting take u?u are an awsome painter and it came out awsome
This one took a few hours as I added a lot of fine details. I believe I could work as fast as a wet on wet oil, but it really just depends what I'm trying to get out of it. I would say to give it a try and see for yourself. If you don't like it I can definitely promise that you'll learn something :)
Love your art! I'm a fan and love your teaching style! Can you tell me if you use photo references for your videos or is it just from memory/imagination?
This one was from memory which many of them are, but sometimes I use reference photos yes
awesome vedios start your some classes in india too plz awesom paintngs:)
Kushal Dahiya hii
Why I asked how long you actually painted on this one... Because I sometimes paint the main areas first, and that doesn't take long, maybe an hour or two. It's the details that take the time. Sometimes I "live" with the basic idea for a while and then might spend two or three sessions, up to an hour or two each, doing the details. I was just interested to know how long you take in a work like this one. I love your acrylic paintings, you have a stunning talent and really understand your paints. Thanks again for sharing. I learnt much from you.
Thanks again! Yes the details is what takes a long time and there is nothing special, Just simply takes a long time. I could poke at a painting for days if I wanted to. It's a struggle to know when to stop and move on :)
What are you using to make the paint blend that well? Problem I am having is that the acrylic dries too fast and when I add the additives to the paint to keep it from drying too fast, it thins too much and doesn't cover the canvas completely.
Also, what kind of canvas are you using?
When I watch your video's I have a color wheel in front of me and lightbulbs go off all over the place. Thanks
Hi chuck. Is there a full length video without the sped up portions. Am having difficulty following th last tune ups
Hi Chuck, I wonder if you're putting anything on your palette to keep the paint from drying too fast? I always waste more paint than I need. Thanks!
Nothing to do that, no. I've learned to take only what I need which takes some practice, but I don't know if there is any cure to them drying fast. A stay wet palette can help, some seem to like those
Can you please do a realistic landscape in oil?
If I painted this and acknowledge is from one of your tutorial would you allow for me to sell it to a friend?
Absolutely! If I post the full real time tutorial I want you to be able to create along with me and enjoy all the perks that go along with it. Just help me spread the word about my art and channel is all I ask in return. Thanks Chantal!
Excellent. I am going to attempt your paintings as they are so beautiful
Where can I get the. Cad orange and the red
My apologies! The cad red and cad orange are liquitex soft body acrylics. I have a mixed batch of brands sometimes and I forget about it ;) -- Any orange or red golden brand would work too
Brick as well sells those colors
Is that a Minnesota accent, or Wisconsin?
Is there a group where we can share our creations ?
what sized brushes did you use?
🦊👏👏👏👏👏
Fan brush

26:06 The extent of my painting skill
I think the noise on painting on canvas Is a huge nuisance to break our imagination...😅😅
As a beginner of 6 months with Acrylics I'm having problems. Like for U to reveal if you don't hv a specific unusual color you can mix other colors. I.e., U used what sounded like Cramila Red (liquid), no retail has it and Hobby Lobby never heard of it. I tried mixing Red/White tube acrylics and disliked results so I just avoided the colorful sky. U use Yellow Orange, again, no one has it. Tried mixing Orange/Yellow and disliked that mixture. Like your Aspen trees and this is where I'm blocked. Watched your how-to for fall trees; wrote down mixing but I'm too frustrated with this painting; I'm going to side step it for now. Speeding up - Would like U to show close up the brush, show the method-brush on or tapping on to demonstrate the how-to and then speed it up. Like your detail, picture perfect style but not sure if I'm ready. This picture was to be a testing to move on to another detail picture.
Why don't you have a subtitle? What happens to deaf people?
lilly kelln you can turn them on chill
About as realistic as a Bob Ross painting. And everyone loved Bob's paintings didn't they?
Beautiful
