Agreed this series has become my fav RTS of all time
I'm not a fan of the world map. I just want to have battles
I'm really excited for this...I also see the door opening for DLC and more narrative choice driven campaigns being allowed, or perhaps more excitingly, modded.
Italian civil war if operation gladios failed would be cool.
Including the pacific war
are you hoping for DLC already before the game has been released? These companies got gamers blinded.
Really wish they gave us a german campaign option. Would be interesting for an alternate history experience to see the Germans go on the offensive at anzio and then attacking South, or even a steel division 2 like defensive campaign that gives you the freedom to play purely defensively or make your own localized offensives
The african campaign, if you haven't seen the videos released by the CoH developers, will be on the german POV.
It will be about the German general Erwin Romell.

we have been waiting for so long for this game.
I've been waiting for the Total War series to do something like this.
@NPretty much the same formula but make it WW2, Overview of the map of Europe, take over cities, recruit soldiers, build tanks, artillery, ships, etc.
In game battles would be large scale skirmishes. Take over occupied areas with the battalions you've recruited. So it's no longer in line battles.
Manage food and money supplies etc.
The Napoleonic Wars TW game has a pretty solid WW1 conversion mod, it's not WW2 but it's at least something.
Will there be a Global campaign for COH 4 if successful or more DLC? PLEASE This addition is great and totally needed in this series. The comparison to TOtal war is a compliment.
Would like it to be more sandbox. Seems like it gives you a few choices on how to approach missions but each is quite linear in scope
DLC's: African campaign, France campaign, Spanish campaign, Greek campaign,...

The real way to take Monte Cassino is the send the Poles
CoH 3, Sins Of a Solar Empire 2.....All we need now is a World In Conflict 2 and a new Dune game and the strategy genre would be well and truly revived!

Company of heroe brilliant gameplay combined with a campaign map a la Total War? With resource management, diplomacy, intrigue, espionnage,..etc ? TAKE MY MONEY !

Yeah, really was looking forward to multiplayer with this mode when they first announced it. Maybe eventually in an update. Or in CoH4.
Adding TBS to an RTS franchise might alienate the core playerbase by a bit, but I'm honestly hyped about this even as a TBS hater.

RELIC & SEGA SHAME ON YOU. 1.) for what you get in game - game is over priced. 2.) You have created a misconcept or false advertising making people think this game is like SEGA's TOTAL WAR. GUYS DONT BE FOoLED ITS NOTHING LIKE IT. 3.) Multiplayer is ONLY skirmish based like the old COH1 & 2 GAME. 4 NO MULTIPLAYER CAMPAIGN MODE. 5. In Game shop is overpriced and very little stuff. 6.) DONT BUY THIS GAME, buy COH 1 OR 2 instead
