- HAUNTING CCTV footage shows the last moments of five people's lives before they were allegedly poisoned with cyanide-spiked tea.
An American-Vietnamese woman is believed to have dosed the drinks of her five relatives in a luxury Thailand hotel before they were found dead by a maid.
Sherine Chong, 56, allegedly killed the two women and three men over a row about debts worth more than £200,000.
She then took her own life by also drinking the poisoned tea, Khaoso reports.
A hotel worker made the grim discovery on Tuesday in a room which had been locked from the inside.
Now CCTV footage shows some of the five victims arriving at the hotel, towing their suitcases as they made their way to the room.

Well, there is evidence that she owed them money, and one of the victim's daughter said that was why her parents went to that trip in the first place to talk about it. Originally they were supposed to meet in Japan but one of the groups members couldn't go so they met in Thailand instead.

I think the bus service I was on in southern Thailand toward Bangkok in 2011 gave me a spiked drink with sleeping tablets for the trip so I could enjoy my 8-hour bus ride. I was just concerned about organ trafficking. My mouth went numb after 1 sip so I stopped drinking. But spiking appears to be a serious problem in Thailand.

The main suspect is the only one with motive since they owed some of the victims a lot of money, other victims were collateral.

Maybe she owed them money. There have been cases like that in America. The son owes the parents a lot of money. The parents threaten not to help out financially anymore, and the son ends their lives.

She was the one that received the tea from the hotel staff. At that time, she was alone in the room. She also refused when the hotel waiter offered to prepare the tea for them. She and her husband were the ones owed money from the victims

there is a Mafia like story behind this. The woman who is believed to be the culprit changed her name such that it is not recognisable as Vietnamese, is a red flag.
Not exactly mafia level, but a fraudster con-woman. Her surname was still Vietnamese. She went around portraying herself to be a successful Vietnamese-American businesswomen. The Vietnamese-American part is true, but everything about the business side was a scam. She used her American citizenship to trick the victims into believing she was successful.

There is not enough information to answer these questions. First rule of evidence gathering is don't jump to conclusions.

Unless she left a note to explain why she did it ,how did the Thailand police find out about their financials and debts and who owed who money so fast in about 4 days (because they are tourists not thai citizens), and did she owe money to all of the victims ,this sounds like a BS explanation by thai authorities .

You don't die instantly. You have time to swallow and put the cup on the table. They're SMALL cups. Yes, they could drink it all at once. People drink tea all the time any time they want. They all reacted by dying. It would be creepy to have cameras in windows. People use credit cards all the time.

Every video was showing that chilling dining table filled up with their untouched foods like an offering for the demise.
At 1:20 were those one of the victim's legs below the dining table? If so, they should have blurred or edit that portion.
Those poor victims had suffered a horrible and unwilling death so that hotel room will need to be cleansed thoroughly. Since most people didn't know that room number, the hotel will offer it for future guests. RIP to the victims and condolences to their families.

The suspect did it herself by telling the waiter that she wanted to prepare the tea according to what they preferred so the room service waiter allowed her to do so. The poison was in the water.

It's very common in Vietnamese culture to count from 1-3 , then down (finish) your drink. It's guaranteed to happen at any party. She knew it so took that as the chance.
This is not like pure cyanide capsule used during the WW2 that will act instantaneously. It's the cyanide mixed with drinks or food and it will take sometime to act, also depending on the dose.
The service usually serves the tea, but they reported that the lady was very adamant about serving the tea herself, and they just left and leave it to her.
