Whoa Matt, thank you so much for making a separate video of this. Stop doing what isn't working - simple and effective words. I'll be sure to check out calorie hacking as well. You're a real treasure, thank you!

Great video! Personally I have suffered with an extremely fast metabolism my whole life, so putting on weight is damn near impossible or so I thought. What most people suggested is drinking Ensures twice daily, and I would literally drink them with my meals, as an after meal liquid. None of that helped, I would feel full, but I would still stay very lean, with I would say 0% body fat, just cuts and a lot of bulging veins. Only until I started drinking a Gallon of water per day, that I actually saw bulk, nothing major, but at least a significant start to filling out the ribs. Hope this was in some way helpful to anybody struggling with gain or loss. Thank you for sharing! Awesome channel.

It's even worse than that. Not only is that alcohol full of calaries but it's also slowing down the metabalism too.

Excessive sugar/carbs is something to keep under control. Not just for weight management, insulin resistance is known to cause multiple severe health conditions. For most people, anything over a 100 grams a day, too much.
Sticking to good dietary plan is just about developing good habits. I've been between "paleo" and "keto" for 15 years so it's very doable. Do your research, everyone is different but most of us are relatively same

I believe we are meant to binge on fruits and berries in late summer/early autumn to get fat for winter, then live mostly on meat/fish which has 0 GI through winter. Also, by getting fat in late summer and doing it with fresh plant foods, you store a lot of vitamins in the fat.
It's similar to that study where people who trained every week got no more gains than the group who had a 2 week break in the middle of the program.
We are seasonal creatures and probably should try to plan more per 13 weeks than per day.

I disagree with you big time on this one, you can’t just speak in absolutes based only on your one social circle, I stay lean with a combination of diets, fasting a couple times a week, keto most days, and 1 cheat day per week. “People who get strong aren’t worried about their routine” that one doesn’t even make sense bro of course their worried about their routine working best for them, they want structure, the most effective exercises, perfect form, they want results so of course they’re worried about having an effective routine or not!

I don't think I was clear. You're right it's not an absolute, there are people who diet like crazy, but they are certainly the exception.
And no, they aren't "worried" about their routine, meaning they aren't gonizing over if they are doing things "right" all the time. yes they have their routine, but they simply have it, follow it, and change it as they see fit. they aren't trying to figure out the perfect routine, like I see so many beginners doing.
