This is a great video showing some features of this microphone. I found it very helpful. Would love to use this mic. Thanks for posting.

Which Preamp did you use? Sounds a little "sterile" to me.

Great, guitar chords reminds me of Nick Drake's "Northern Sky"

Would the phase coherent/match with each other?

As the diaphragms are as close to each other as physically possible, the phase coherence will be spot on.

The summed audio is louder than the mono side what's going on their? I cut my channel and they clearly sounded different.

To my ear, there is a bit of additional editing going on here when it comes to the splitting and merging of the diaphragm signals. When he solos one then the other, he pans them hard left then hard right as singles (for effect) but when they play together, the audio is re-mixed so each diaphragm's mono signal is playing both L&R in the mix. This is why they sound different, when you cut one L or R when both are playing, you are still hearing both diaphragms. But when he cuts it for the video, you are only hearing one diaphragm signal.
It's maybe a little misleading but I think this is a great demonstration of this mics ability to output 2x phase matched audio signals (which can be independently mixed to give a wide stereo recording).

You do the best comparisons - as I would it do myself : )

You're really making me buy this thing, aren't you? I was thinking of this second technique, but I thought I'd add a second mic directed to the front, and that way get a L/R/front situation, ending up with a great 3d sound and 3 tracks, and the front mic could even be used for vocals ...
