May want your crop insurance agent to check in with regard to your APH. That’s not how APH is calculated with minimal yield history. Your 75 yield last year gets used and then with 1 year of history you get assigned 80% of the county T yield for the other 3 years. So a 4 year average with the 75 bu and 3 years of .8* County T-yield. Now if your field this year isn’t in the same crop insurance unit, you get 65% of county T-yield due to no yield history on the piece this year.

Hey Patrick this is Patrick Norman from Sale City Ga. Are you kin to the Shivers that use to run the store over there? My mom is Carol Shealy and she was from Shellman. Was just wondering???
I’m not familiar with any store, other than my own farm store, being run by Shivers that are related to me. There was some Shivers (pronounced Shy-vers) that ran a produce operation in south Early County. My name is pronounced just like its spelt Shivers….like what you do when you’re really cold.
I appreciate you sharing so much the farm math. I have always been curious about that and how it works. I'm sorry about the soy beans. What happens to make it ruined? The moisture or it falling to the ground? Is there any salvaging it or does the insurance stipulate it can't be sold in any way? Michael was so awful. Every time I think about it, I get anxiety. Did see so much good humanity after it, though. Hoping all we get is rain. Thank you for the cabbage and broccoli transplants! I got a raised bed planted of them. We appreciate it very much.
@@ABlueDahlia once fully matured and dried down rain can cause the soybeans to rot rendering them unmarketable. Sometimes insurance wants you to harvest and then they deduct that amount, other times they tell you to disc the crop in.
