Having ridden our horses as a teen, more as pleasure rides rather than to get from place to place, this poem speaks to me. We also lived in Europe, where it is generally forbidden to walk in someone else's woods. So stopping by another's woods, contemplating the beauty of the snow despite the chill, the horse reminding the rider that home and food are not nearby, is a guilty pleasure. Perhaps the rider is weary, from work, from travel, from responsibilities, but he is taking time to just stop and reflect, not alone as his horse is impatient company. The rider knows the night is long, morning is a long way off. So he has time to reflect and ponder the beauty and solitude afforded by the woods. (4 years ago I was privileged to purchase my own woods, and while snow has not graced us as southerners, the deep leaves piled on the forest floor and tall pines standing watch are lovely in their own right. With no fence, I am 'forced' to walk my dogs, who enjoy the woods wonderfully. And on those rainy mornings when fog wraps the woods in gray mist, this poem is part of the mindfulness I experience!)

Hi Mr sarjeg, How fortunate you are to witness such a wild attraction created from the above!!
You must be the one among god's most favourite children. Through the eyes of yours, I can enjoy the beauty of the unknown and I am fortunate to enjoy your ethereal experience. I love the way of your deliberation too. I would be over the clouds if I happen to meet you!!💓

Hi! Thank you for making these. I originally started watching your videos to make sure I was understanding all themes and ideas in poems/stories for a class I was taking, but I just absolutely love your content so much! I am definitely going to keep checking out your videos even without my class. You do an excellent job at explaining concepts :)

So glad you decided to analyze this particular poem. It's always been magical to me. Now that I'm old, I feel more than wistful hearing it.
The simultaneous depth and simplicity of Frost remind me of the JWST images: there's much more there than we realized. Here's to lifetimes spent in deep appreciation... trying to understand. Thank you for an amazing channel.

Winter Solstice is the longest night of the year, but not necessarily the darkest. It’s not common, but there have actually been Winter Solstices with full moons which, in the snow, would have been quite bright. I think it’s just a very dark night.

The poem is perfectly crafted and your reflection on it is magnificent my teacher. I say my teacher because I feel like I've grown up logically and emotionally after watching your explanation. Actually I enjoyed this video. you're always adding a lot to me, since long time I would tell you that and I felt like I should do it now and at the same time it's a little praise and gratification for your efforts. you should break down Y.C.K's song 'Plague'. a simpleton like me finds it hard to understand the writing of an occultist.

Is this not about he has a long time to live, and that he has made promises to him self, and that it will a lo g time before he dies.
