The higher the grade, the cleaner it will burn and doesn't need additives as a G5-G1 would. When power generating plants are fitted with scrubbers and burn G6+ coal, the toxicity and sulphur pollution is kept at very low minimum, lower than your active volcanoes (studies these two topics on coal and volcanoes & tell me how you're going to end the giant polluter -the volcanoes).
