- THE FR8 TRAIN Giant 88m Turbo on a 408ci LSx Trans Am racing anybody and everybody that pulls up along side him all over the country! This car gets down! The car is pushing between 850-1100hp in different clips of this video depending on the setup and cars its racing at the time.

1981 Was the last year for the Firebird/ Trans Am. Anything after are kitcars just like the new darts or chargers. Sedan boats.

I can't imagine what it must feel like to have an 800hp car and get walked in a race, some serious power being put down.
LSx is also a generic way of saying "I don't know which LS motor it's got, so I'm just going to label it LSx"

LSx with lower case x is the way you said it, LSX with a capital X is the specific LSX block. That's the way I understood it, anyway.

To all the people talking about a death wish. Going fast to some people just isn't scary. Like to me it's not. Every time I have to fly somewhere I'm terrified though, especially during take off... I hate it. Here in Louisiana we have tornadoes and hurricanes constantly and I've seen trees ripped out of the ground. There's nothing you can do but sit and wait for your house to be crushed with you in it. That shit is scary, but to me racing on the highway is not. Also some of you need to accept that your life will end. When I was 13 I had an ear infection get out of control and nearly take my whole face with it, I could have sat at home and died in agonizing pain, or die from complications during surgery. Every time you get on a plane, every time you get in a car, every time you get in a heated argument with a crazy person, could be your last. No reason to be a pussy about it, we all die. You're not special, you're not going to outsmart it, you don't get to skip it.
but its the people that arent experienced with that attitude that get people killed.
Experience matters but... There's still variables that no amount of experience can overcome.
black2011gt honestly, I say that thrill and excitement I feel when I race is a cocktail of adrenalin, fear, excitement and competitiveness. Hell I'll admit to fear, but I also admit I feed off of it. I'm not ashamed, lol.

Captain FALKEN Honestly I think the Bandit Trans Ams were the ugliest body styles of that car ever made. The 90s weren't that great but when the WS6 came in it has a way more aggressive look to it.

I own an 03 Cobra now but my first Trans-am was an 89 GTA and in its day was a bad ass car! loved it and T/A's are still a favorite of mine. This badass T/A was very much appropriately named! Very nice!

$30k+ of mods and these cars can almost keep up with the bike.

nope i own a bike for about 5 months now and i cant do that keeping it stable at high speeds is an issue for me. so not any1 can go fast in a straight line on a bike

I was a little disappointed with the T/A. I expected him to destroy everything and he won like 2 out of like 9 races. He needs to tune it....get more horsepower to the ground and maybe work on gearing cause it performs like it's got 700 horses.

I'd love to see that TT Fox go against the ZR1 from the beginning of the video. Im a Ford guy all the way, and it pains me to see all those Chevy engines in Fords, but I still respect ANY car thats setup well and maintained (as everyone SHOULD).
But also, the Beater Bomb never fails to amaze me... That car is setup PERFECTLY. You rarely ever see that. Generally thats only the case with full-on race teams with sponsors and buttloads of money. Respect to all!! ;D

5:13...if you have any doubt they are going fast look at how the minivan SEEMS TO BE GOING THE OTHER WAY!!!! that's how fast they passed a car going probably 55 or 60 MPH. Amazing.

well last i checked, they are many small block FORD powered cars running low times in the quarter. and after a hand full of passes, and a couple runs on the highway, the cars are drivin home and then to work for the week.

thats a very nice trans am you have clearly put the wrench time in i own a 2000 z28 and my target hp is only 400 to 500 hp im currently doing 317 but cheers to your hard work and dont feel bad if that old fox body smoked you hp may match but those little fox bodies are light way lighter than our 4th gen fbodys

At that power level, with the torque to push a tall gear, it's quite a bit faster. Plus it helps reduce drivetrain destruction

Illuminating the "battle field" at night is a wonderful idea. And why other cars braked at 05:22?! OMG.
It's all about what the owner likes. I've seen a lot of old Fords with Chevy engines in them. While it kills the showroom appeal, it's what you want to do with it that counts.
The third gen only has 800 hp, that tells you how much lighter those cars are! That Fox Body is wicked!!!

Yeah they are very fast. I am waiting for the reliability report to start coming out after the forst couple of years so that we know what their weaknesses are and they can either improve or the aftermarket can improve them. Either way I like them a lot. I'm still a Honda guy (bikes) 1000RR and will never sell mine but might add to the garage a BMW.
