- I really like Malcolm Merlyn, especially his dysfunctional, desastrous father-daughter-relationship with Thea. John Barrowman and Willa Holland are great together. Their scenes were the only reason I still kept watching the downright boring and illogical fourth season of Arrow. So I thought I make a vid about them, so I can see my favorite moments without having to watch the rest.

Malcolm was the best character in the series, and his line with Thea (and all the scenes) was so powerfull, so strange and interesting! It's a pity, that the autors simply threw him out. Thank you for the video!

2:20 This scene is one of the best between Malcolm and Thea. Finally Malcolm telling Thea how he feels about her behavior towards him, when he said that she turned her into a WARRIOR, that delivery was Impecable.
I agree! I love that scene, it gave me the impulse do make the video. I especially love when he says he'd rather she's alive and hates him than her loving him and be dead.
I haven’t watched this show in years, but I remembered how interesting these two characters were and found this edit. I just noticed Thea Queen looks a bit like Teresa from The Maze Runner

Thanks for telling me, but I left the Arrowverse after that awful fourth season, where Malcolm and Thea were the only characters that kept me awake. I don't think that I will return because frankly I would have to watch too many episodes and storylines with stuff I'm not interested in, especially all the crossovers with other series. I liked Arrow in the beginning when it was more down to earth. The more supernatural elements came in, the more boring it got for me, because I'm interested in relationships, not comic-surperheroes and -villains. So even if Malcolm returns, I probably won't watch it. But I hope that you will have fun watching it.
@@MsEleanorShelby Thanks. Although you might like to know Season 5 was getting more down to earth, season 6 was a bit disappointing, season 7 is more fun. As I love how Siren is becoming part of Team Arrow
Malcolm isn't evil he is just broken his wife build a hospital in the glades to help the people who live there but while she was on the ground bleeding to death the same people of the glades passed by and did nothing the people she helped just let her die

Hi, that is from 4x16 (if you count the Flash crossover in, otherwise it must be no. 4x15). The title of the episode is "Taken". This conversation is the best scene of the entire fourth Arrow season and it was the main reason to make this vid. I love that he speaks his mind in this. He will never get a father of the year trophy, but he's right: He turned Thea from a spoiled brat and totally boring and annoying character into a smart and interesting one.
