Erim, I brought the Velvet Rose and Oud and feel a bit uncertain with it. I sprayed it on me and in the bedrooms. My sister dislikes it and my nephew gave it 10/10. When Jo Malone says it is intense, well, they bloody are pretty strong
You're quite right when saying rose is usually associated with a 'grandmother' smell. I have been a collector for over 20 years and I almost always find it hard picking up rose that's versatile enough to be worn by a male in his late 20's without loosing the magic that makes rose such an inviting and unique flower. As a middle-eastern I smell rose in almost every aspect of my home which gets a bit exhausting but certainly the fragrances you have selected are invigorating enough to keep this precious flower alive and beloved by many. Well done :) 👍

I haven’t smelled all of them but I smelt all the ones she mentioned and I have to say Mojave Desert isn’t necessarily powdery but it’s soft and gorgeous. I actually own it and love it.
