Oh my! What an ironic twist for your lizard mascot :( But think of it from the fish's point of view; "As I gapes at 'dis babe on a boat Up pops this crazy old goat! Wavin' a towel Ee lets out a howl --An chucks a reptile down me throat!" Truth be told, I went to sleep thinking about that little lizard... Fair Winds and Safe Passages 'til we meet in person some day. Thank you for your wonderful videos!
+Will Stone that piece of prose surely is a winner :-) The only prize we can offer is to pin it to the top of the thread for others to enjoy. Glad you are enjoying the videos, Stew and Zaya. and lizard. RIP
Thank You! Being pinned is truly an honor. One detail of lizard's last leap became clear to me today in traffic. I was stopped behind a car with a bumper sticker that said; "Leap and a net will appear."--It's a sticker I've always found irritating. But, suddenly I could see that little guy's leap of faith into the darkness, in slo-mo in my mind's eye, and I saw the truth of it! The fish's name was Annette ;)

Great sailing footage. That bar could offer 10 for the price of 1 and still show profit. Always get frustrated with hotels that don’t value guests. Love the water color. Stay well team, hope you are recovering from last weeks loss.
+Nigel Signal - on road to recovery, yes. Takes a while after a format as you surely know. Lets us know when/where we can follow your new boat progress. Curious. Stew
+Markus Petraska thanks mate. Arrival somewhere after a long journey makes me a bit reflective. Although we breached copyright and lost monetizing this video (probably about 50 dollars over its lifetime) it feels so pleasant to share that sound and amazing words of the Finns. There is also some homage to Yes and Keith Emerson of Emerson Lake and Palmer in this one. I was in a prog rock mood. Cheers, Stew
I can attest to the fact the a winch can make a fine candle stand. I have several old winches that have served well gracing the Thanksgiving and Christmas dinner table. They don't get knocked over like a pair of new, cheap candle stands and so far the turkey has had no complaints about having them holding court at the table. Some of out dinner guests think its very weird however. I enjoyed the Long Island video. Its been along time since I've been there.
+martin gauthier classic. we never know what our random scenes will mean to someone. and that was pretty random. repurposing a winch for this use now makes alot more sense! I will let Simon know. Thank-you! Stew and Zaya
Aww … the Luckyfish might have gotten away but the Unlucky Lizard certainly didn't. Maybe that is fate … he might have been an invasive species on his new island and evolved into a little Godzilla and trashed the whole place. As he leaped I heard him say he would rather be fishfood than loose his position on the LuckyFish Crew. Adious little amigo … I guess he didn't pay attention at the Lizard Overboard briefing when he first signed on. Maybe you should sign on one of those Cayman gators for crew next time … they know how to deal with those nasty fish … then the NastyFish don't be gettin' away.
So heave her up and away we’ll go, Lucky Fish gets away, heave her up and away we’ll go, way out were Gecko’s tend to go. she’s a mighty good ship so I’ve been told, heave away home of Gecko. A dowdy cheeky for a captain too, way out were Gecko’s tend to go. So heave her up and away we’ll go, heave away home of Gecko Heave her up and away we’ll go way out in long guy land eye oh. There’s plenty of gold, so I’ve been told, heave away home of Gecko Plenty of gold for the Gecko to hold way out in long guy land eye oh. The Gecko was bold and lost foot hold, heaved away home of Gecko The Gecko’s not old so I’ve been told, way out in long guy land eye oh. Sung to the tune of Santiano.
Capt., as far as poetry goes, I think we both need to keep our day jobs.................. Loved the little guy anyway................No criticism mate, just sayin......Even Edgar Allen Poe started somewhere.......... I could not improve on what you did, sounded good to me......... :)
I've got to go back and like all the videos I've watched. really sad about the lizard. seems a poem in traditional Japanese haiku style would be appropriate: long lizard jumped ship long Island fish jumped lizard better to be still
Got to watch it with stow aways, even the wild kind. Don't want to mess up an ecosystem with an introduced species. That said the odds are that lizard species was already there.

It was her idea to go to the bar? By God you Sir are a lucky man!
ha. after nearly 8 days on the boat bar wins over beach every time.
Great Episode ! The line I might add to your Ode is "This is one lizard should have looked before he leapt !"

You've probably being chomping at the bit to play that. Bloody Kiwis.
+Stephen J, Nah mate, just more great "Australian" artists like Sam Neill, John Clarke. Shit what have I started.
Great vid ya'll.
just found your videos...quick question...@ 2:53 what are the 2 white housings on the inside of the pontoons for? thanks so much for a great vid.
Those are the sleds for the 2 outboard engines. They raise and lower on a pulley system.

Hahoi - Zaya - & - Stewart ...🌴💟🌸🌴🎆🎉🌴
+Ann Abel - hey there!
Lizard, He was a cold blooded creature that held a warm spot in heart. Lizard stowed away in hopes of a new life which sadly ended in, end of life.

Sometimes you eat the fish, sometimes the fish eats you.
