"It's in the blood,it's in the blood". Oh how true that is!
Thanks to Lane and Bruce helping to preserve some great Carnival History. Lane has devoted his retirement to making sure that we never forget the great Carnivals and Circuses!
First time I watched this and loved it. Brought tears to my eyes thinking this year the Lewis County Fair was cancel and I won't see the Coleman family and all the hard working employees. I'll miss you guys.
Fantastic video.
Thank you Mr Talburt!! I remember all I cared about was driving down old Cookeville highway and seeing the big yellow wheel spinning in the air. King of the Midway. Sure you know the ride I'm referring too. I'll never forget
I loved working for a show
The Colemans are my 2nd family.Started with my Dad as Principal at Mercy High in Middle Town Ct.
I lived this. I like carnival and circus docs.
Awesome carnival me and my family come there and there’s a lot of ride’s 😊
Great family to work for back in the late 90s
Very nice
I think my dad knows the Colemen Bros. Shows because my dad used to work for All-Star and Astro Amusements over 20 yrs now part of North American Midway Entertainment since 2003.
Nice Video
Thanks, Klaas. I'm working on a UA-cam video based on my recent trip to document Kermis Hoorn and to interview some of the folks responsible for staging it.
Does anyone remember Kelly the Candyman at New England fairs??
Kool
I wish rules and regulations be more relaxed for carnival providers/ makers, (Aside from safty regulations), and they should be spared any taxes.. for they bring joy to people and cities. :^)
Recently we are getting this beliefe that the American government is too harsh on it's people and their businesses. :-)
Does Coleman Shows own a Himalaya ride ?
Tim: When I was last on a Coleman Bros lot in 2017, the carnival had a Thunderbolt, which is similar to a Himalaya ride.
when the coronavirus is over come to Drexel
I've thought about working as a carnie. In a way it seems like it could be a fun experience and maybe a chance to make some close friends and a chance to get out on the road and see some things. What I don't like is the fact that it is only seasonal work and I would have to save everything that I make to get by on the down time. It makes more sense to me to invest all of that time into a job that has more potential. In six months time I could be half way or more into a full time position with benefits and higher wages and more opportunities to further my career and be much better off financially and have more stability. If you want travel I would go for a full time job like a sales rep or truck driver or something like that. This carnie stuff will just keep you poor.
I guess this compny does things differently
The narrator sounds like Walter Cronkite.
I love freshly made corn dog's. If you don't have at least 1 corn dog vendor, then you're not a real carnival to me.
