- Motion Magic made this fantasic VR Journey according to Van Gogh "Starry Night" and "Arles room". The Starry Night VR is a 360-degree view short animation, more than 10w people in China has already watched. From Starry Night world, into the shuttle and finally came to the residence of Van Gogh room, warm, bright colors, all materials and texture are made according to the original painting, gives the viewer a strong sense of immersion.
Art history major here; Van Gogh made this painting while he was being treated for mental health, and this was the view from his window. However, he wasn’t allowed to paint in his room, only in the basement, so he created this world from memory of the sky he saw every night.
Bittersweet. Beautiful. Thank you, Van Gogh.
His life was really tragic; I learned about him (and Frida Kahlo, among others) when I was in high school.
I always feel sorry for him.

Yui Tachibana you must know that this is a terrible version of the imagr
Are art history majors who like anime uncommon??
Fun fact
Van Gogh sold only one or two paintings in his life-and neither was The Starry Night.
the next year or so of painting starry night,he died.
Edited : cz my source of info was wrong.
It was actually 1. That was only to his brother.
@@olwinv4412 I doubt that. What is your source?
Read Van Gogh:The Life by Steven Naifeh , Gregory White Smith if you really want too learn about him
All you struggling artists out there keep that in mind. Don't give up.
He is believed to have sold only one. The Red Vineyards near Arles.
This is so surreal, peaceful, and terrifying at the same time. It’s as if I’m running from something that isn’t even behind me. Yet the fear and anxiety that someone, or something, is chasing me. Perhaps it is the fear that we’re running from only to dig ourselves into a lonely rut.
Huh you described it perfectly
Well said. Maybe it's how Van Gogh himself felt...
It’s mine blowing that that’s what you got from the house. Getting to go into a painting in the middle of the night we’re almost everyone is asleep with the house lights off only a few on and the street lights on. Everyone is Tucktaway in their homes comfortable. We walk along the cobble streets and into van Goghs room to look out the back window at the beautiful peaceful starry sky. The quiet town and all is well.

am I the only one who wasn’t terrified ?😍 it’s a beautiful art.
Not mutually exclusive
I wasn't terrified. I was in awe.
No, I’m not TERRIFIED!
I’m not terrified at all. I’m in awe
I'm in awe and also a bit terrified
This was so beautiful, you could feel the loneliness Van Gogh felt
Everyone feels lonely in this world, van Gogh was just overly honest about his feelings
Everyone is alone, but not everyone feels loneliness.
John Jonah Jameson - anyone can feel alone you don’t just have to lose someone to feel alone, open your mind up a bit...I’m sorry you experienced that but that doesn’t mean you and others who have lost someone are the only ones alone + the people who smash and call it love are also alone don’t you see? That’s pure loneliness that you are willing to call someone you hardly know your love because you just want someone to call that....at least I think that’s lonely 😞
@@johnjonahjameson6192 shallowness and ignorance are so far the perfect remedy to suppress the feeling of loneliness, you're a perfect example and I envy your unawareness and wished that people like Van Gogh, me and others had the same perception of reality. What the eye doesn't see the heart doesn't grieve over, right?
@@queenmak-rblx8270 There is a difference between "lusting" for someone and feeling alone.
This is really cool. The whole time, I couldn't stop thinking about how if Van Gogh had seen this, he would have been like, "WHAAAT?"
van gogh i need to meet him
More like Or "Wat?".
He was Dutch and lived in France.
He would think this is some alien crazy stuff humans never could built this
Watch Dr Who S5 E10. Absolutely Amazing. It's the closest interpretation I feel may represent the true Vincent Van Gogh. 😉👍💙
"if Van Gogh had seen this, he would have been like, "WHAAAT?""
Or he would have been nodding his head and saying, 'Yes, that's how it looked inside my head".
I loved the moment you look out the window into the sky, because you see what he saw. His art wasn't just a style it was a vision, its how he saw the world. The clouds, the stars, the sun, its all as he saw them.
*this is horrifying and beautiful at the same time*
evønyy perhaps you mean “sublime”
Its the void. Its like being trapped

I was wondering why they didn’t close the door
This is overwhelming. I was completely mesmerized and my heart sank when the camera entered the very room he died in
According to historical records, he didn't die in that room in The Yellow House. He died in a boarding house/motel in Arles. This is one of the two rooms where he worked and lived with Gauguin around the time when he cut his ear off.
I felt pretty lonely every second seemed like their was going to be a jumpscare. Music fits it all.

I cried because I felt his art and is sad the fact someone so talented and historic died without the fame he deserves. Through his paintings I can feel a beautiful nostalgic dreamy vibe... even though my city looks nothing like this; I felt like it was my lovely neighborhood. I truly admire his paintings that work as a time traveler and face me to his unique world.

I was happily surprised to see the bedroom.

Starry Night is my favorite painting made by Van Gough. Not just because his artwork is fantastic but the story behind it.
While I'm watching and exploring it, I could not help myself not to cry. I feel the sadness, the burden and depression.
I felt like this was mysterious and a bit scary
It was beautiful also but at the same time i didn't want to experience it again

Yh it was extremely solitary... like we were the only one there... in a place with a moving sky
It was probably how Van Gogh himself felt during most of his life... Very depressed and lonely
after watching the video behind his death i came here and i’m scared to death
This is how vincent see this world
It really takes us in a deep dive into Van Gogh's mind!
a painting is designed to be pleasing visually
it is not an insight into ones mind
the same way a piece of music is composed to sound pleasing
it is not an insight into ones mind
This reminds me of the 360 art installation with classical music, which I'm pretty sure had several of his works in it as well, that I went to see with my dad a couple of years ago. Beautiful. Thank you
The transition from "The starry night to" to "Bedroom in Arles" was PERFECT!
Oh, THAT'S what that was.
it was amazing and i'm glad i paid attention to art class
It would be cool set to music from Don McLean's Vincent
The bedroom is actually a spooky part for me. Weird. It's a nice small room but it freaks me out to enter it in this vr video.
@@catdees7983 agreed. I don't find any of this peaceful. I'm more on edge actually.

i wonder how van gogh would feel knowing that much later his work would be loved and appreciated by so many
Really, his paintings just started to be appreciated after his death. In life nobody believed his painting would have any value, not even him, he probably imagined his paintings being famous but never believed it could really be, the man died without even knowing how appreciated his art would be.
Have you ever watched Doctor Who? There is an episode that Van Gogh sees his paintings in the future, worth billions of money and he being one of the most appreciated artists of all time, this scene really get you.

The way the streets and rooms are empty makes you feel the loneliness and isolation Van Gogh felt
As a huge fan of Van Gogh's paintings, I must say, I cried like a little girl... This is absolutely wonderful and more people should see this. I'm sharing this video with my best friend rn :') Kudos to you my pal

I love Van Gogh too and I am so glad I live next to where he lived, and I am about to see the hospital where he was, and exactly where he was when he painted it and also where he used to go etc. ! This is wonderful, Van Gogh is such and inspiration, i started painting because of him (i used to drew only with a pen) and his work is flawless and we can feel his emotion in his work...!
Skeletøn Bønes wow, the Clique always have such a good Taste, in everything, I love Van Goghs paintings, I also painted Starry night by myself, he was so talented

@Ricci indeed!
This showcases with beautiful details how Van Gogh could express his feelings through his immortal artworks
I can't explain how peaceful I feel after watching this.❤
Imagine how Vincent would feel if he could see his works brought to life like this?

I believe he would be really happy😭
He would love it.
Magical...thank you. I wrote a short story about entering this painting and sitting in the church and speaking with Vincent. You should be very proud.
Can I read it?
I would also like to read it!

I wish I could read it too
come on!!!
This is just dreamy spectacular! Van Gogh was a master of painting what he felt. Every single piece had so much emotion in every brush stroke.
Remember these artists more often died penniless and unknown. It still blows my mind to see these amazing works of art and that they were broke at the end.
All of my art ended up in the trash. I'm glad I took photos of them but I still wish I could see them again.
I lost everything...a lifetime of collecting my art.
Up in smoke I guess...😞
It looks so lonely yet so beautiful. A true masterpiece by van Gogh indeed.
This is the best 360 experience ever created, absolutely amazing, so much work has gone into this. Thank you for sharing 🙂
Agree!!
The video 'broke' a dream I once had. I have been here before. The only thing I remember from the dream is that the ceiling was a dome and there were people there, milling around, ignoring me and with whom I did not communicate. Spooky recollection.
Lol I have had such wierd dreams I honestly can believe that without even blinking 😂😂
I also had such a dream😂

old fashioned lunatic asylums had "exercise areas" which were in circular rooms, and everyone just walked around in circles. Not sure what the ceilings were like. They'd put epileptics in there, just anything. Normal stuff today that they didn't understand back then.
Hello! How are you? If you need someone to listen, someone to talk to, or a friend. I am here to talk, listen, and be a friend. I hope you all are doing well. Take care of yourself and love yourself. Know that you are amazing and have rights as a human. Please have appropriate action for anything that you know is wrong. Anything that seems bad or wrong in your life right now will get better. Please don't do what is wrong, fighting back and harming others will not solve the problem. Please understand that and do the good thing. It will one day come back to you. The people in the world are so much more than what we know about them, not everyone opens up about the beautiful things and acts they have witnessed, not all those amazing doings are acknowledged. Please understand that and know that. If you feel like no one cares about you, know that I care about you. Together, we can be a better community. Stay safe, healthy, happy, kind, understanding, positive and strong!

Extraordinary and beautiful 🤩
When I opened my eyes, I was floating. I could see the beautiful sky and the hills behind me. I didn't know where I was going, but I felt something pull me towards the little town, almost like I was a magnet.
The sky swirled in strange patterns above me.
As I walked through the town, I couldn't help but feel like I'd been there before, maybe in a dream or something.
It was beautiful. Not in a way that I can understand, but beautiful nonetheless.
I reached the edge of the village, and arrived at a small yellow house. The door opened for me, as though it was inviting me to solve the mysteries of this strange world.
There was only one word to describe this magical place.
Home.
I was pulled up, through the window, back into the swirling sky. I turned around, saying goodbye to my hometown.
I only blinked once, but it was enough for the world to disappear.
Woah....
Bro you deserve a medal :)
Congratulations.
