In the last scene when he sees her coming to him as he dies, I just hope it's to tell him to go to hell. That she and all those he betrayed: his biological mom, First Prince, etc., are all together and enjoying each other's company.

i hated the emperor character in this drama, how dare he expect after all the things he put her through that she forget all the suffering and move on . In the word full of betrayers and scheming , her husband is the closest person to her after her boy .
I’m sorry but I blamed all these tragic deaths on the emperor as he permitted that evil Wei YanWan to run the harem and murdered all his royal heirs. He kept believing people when they frame Ruyi and he continued to punish Ruyi. I’m glad in the end that Ruyi didn’t forgive him and let him be tormented with her deaths. He’s such a coward emperor
