Garth said he was a fan, that is why his concerts are so awesome because he knows what fans want.
I was fortunate to attend a Garth Brooks concert, it was amazing. He started playing at 10pm and didn’t stop until after 2am. One of the best concerts I have ever attended.

A Garth Brooks concert is a balls to the wall, full throttle, hell raising, no holds barred, good time. He gives 130% and the audience gives it back. It's a religious experience.

Garth Brooks was one of the first to start filming his concerts himself because back then cell phones were not known as anything but a phone to have on you in case of an emergency. I myself being 10 years old in 94 had no idea what a cell phone was only the rich had them LOL. But you're right this is a montage of all of his concerts that year when he played this song.

Once you become a country music fan you never leave. I’m a child of the 60’s. Jimi, Janice, Beatles. But country music is soul music.

Fun fact: Garth said in an interview that Freddie Mercury was a huge influence. He was at a Queen concert and experienced Freddie's magic of connecting with every member of the audience and his high energy stage performance. Garth said he wanted his audience to feel the same way watching him so modeled himself after Freddie.

Garth, the great! Friends in Low Places, The Dance, The Thunder Rolls, Standing Outside the Fire. The list goes on. Another you may want to check is George Strait, the King. Troubadour is a good one. Alan Jackson, Chattahoochee and It's 5 O'Clock Somewhere.

God I remember when this came out and he was doing his live shows, he smashed a guitar with another band member on stage and caused all the overly religious people to lose their minds as he was setting bad examples for their kids on destructive behavior lol. Then you take a look at music today and just have to laugh.

  • @Hot_Mess_Studio

Garth Brooks isn't really "old American country music" he broke all the rules of country music and took it from Johnny Cash and Merle Haggard, to the Chris Stapleton and Jason Aldean. First country band to even use an electric guitar. Every song he touched was gold. Plus he backed all of them up with his legendary shows (no country singer was getting launched on to the stage before Garth). He could play stadium 3 or 4 or more tines in a weekend and sell every show out. And he never got greedy and always kept his tickets prices low so anyone who wanted to could go. Even his come back tour in 2014 tickets were $80 Canadian. 4 shows in 2 days in Winnipeg all sold out in 2 hrs. That's 60 000 tickets

Garth changed Country music in many ways. His music of course but he revolutionized Country concerts. Get a video or DVD of him live. He is unbelievable. For 11 concerts in 2014 I believe he sold 188,000 tickets. A record at the time I read. Nobody cares more about their fans! Love Garth!

This is a good karaoke song....takes some keeping up with after a few shandy’s....hopefully be able to sing it again when Covid does one...
    BTW....one of his hero’s is.....Freddie Mercury 👍🏻
If you’ve got a thing for drums check out Roger Taylor’s “let’s get crazy” or Queens “Ride the Wild Wind”.
Another great Drummer - Clem Burke from Blondie...especially “Dreaming” & even Miley Cyrus cover of “heart of glass” was great

Here is a quote from Garth Brooks in an early interview.
His musical influences: “I am a walking tribute to the people I grew up on. ... All those aspects you are hearing are what I do; I pay tribute to the artists I’ve seen. And if you come to (my) live show, I hope you’ll walk out saying: ‘Freddie Mercury! Freddie loved playing live shows like this guy’.”

  • @popcorngoddess89

Oh yeah, he was well known for popping out of the stage like a jack in the box as his entrance, and flying above the crowd in a harness, and having pyrotechnics spew a line of fire across the stage that he would calmly walk through. He'd sprint from one end of the stage at full speed while singing at the same time, sometimes while playing a guitar. I saw a brief glimpse of his standing at the edge of the stage so all the ladies in the pit could touch his shins in this video. I don't know why, cause I was too young to have done it myself, but that just sent me into a wave of nostalgia. Garth was a true rock star.

Sux that Garth pulls his music from UA-cam but his music is amazing! My rockin’ favorites from Garth are That Summer; Standing Outside the Fire; Ain’t Goin’ Down (‘Til the Sun Comes Up); Callin’ Baton Rouge; Rodeo; and Two of a Kind, Workin’ on a Full House. My emotional favorites of his are If Tomorrow Never Comes; Unanswered Prayers; Wolves; What She’s Doing Now; The River; Learning to Live Again; That Ol’ Wind; Somewhere Other Than The Night; Much Too Young (To Feel This Damn Old); The Dance; She’s Every Woman; and In Lonesome Dove. But his most powerful songs are Mom; The Thunder Rolls; The Night I Called The Old Man Out; We Shall Be Free; and The Change.

Garth Brooks is the new country, but you should also listen to ones that made country, COUNTRY. George Jones, Alan Jackson, Kenny Rogers, George Strait, Loretta Lynn, Dolly Parton, Reba McEntyre, and so many others. Also, all of them are great storytellers too. Some will make you cry and others will make you laugh. Dolly Parton's I Will Always Love You, Kenny Rogers' Coward of the County, Alan Jackson's Where were you, when the world stopped turning, Loretta Lynn's The Pill, George Strait's The Chair, George Jones' He Stopped Loving Her Today. All fantastic country songs.

You have got to react to "Friends In Low Places" and it has to be a live concert video. Garth is about as high energy as it gets. He borrowed the attitude for this from his hero and former World Champion Bronc rider Chris Le Doux you should check him out as well. The 70's Rock Show moved to Country in the 90's. A lot of old timers in country music were worried until Garth came and also Vince Gill who's roots were deep in old Country music. The blonde lady in the band is Garth's sister. They played together for years and then had a huge falling out. Garth's concerts were and are legendary. He includes everybody kids, teens, 20's etc.. Old folk are honored Garth is very family oriented. Though he and his second wife the Country singer Trisha Yearwood they have Garth's three daughters, who are grown and a couple of them are quite good musicians and singers. I'm sure they have full concert videos from Garth on youtube. You really should check him out. Thanks for an awesome reaction.

He isn't quite as reckless as he used to be, but more energy than most 20 year old entertainers. He used to fly out over the audience, climbed everything, ran around like a crazy man. The atmosphere is ELECTRIC when he's in the building. One of my all time favorites for decades! I have everything he ever recorded... in multiple formats from cassette tapes to CDs to digital! Lol

Mike Palmer has been the drummer since they were doing collage gigs. He is a great drummer. This band is tight. Their name is Stillwater.
