From the East Bay region of Northern California, Driving The Effect approaches their aggressive sound with melodies and unique rhythms. The music is developed from a large number of influences that span all forms of music. Originally established in 1996 as Agonistic Resemblance by guitarist Jeremiah Baldwin and vocalist Nino De La Rosa, the passing years brought several line up and musical changes. The additions of bassist Matt Howell and drummer Robert Canchola ultimately formed what is now Driving The Effect.
