This is so so exciting Moni!! So happy for you!! An incredible and meaningful trip that you will remember forever. Looking forward to seeing your journey unravel as you reconnect with your roots. Meeting the family in the Philippines. Seeing what the country is like, experiencing the kindness of Filipino people and the beauty of its diverse landscape. ❤️❤️❤️🇵🇭🇵🇭🇵🇭
Ahhh Cris I am so excited! Thank you sooo much 😍 I can’t wait to get to know my roots and meet our family for the first time. It’ll be sooo incredible seeing such an amazing country ❤️🇵🇭
Enjoy your trip! You will have a lot of fun. My wife is from the Philippines so we go there quite abit. If your going to Pangasinan checkout Manaoag church. In Manila you can checkout Intramuros.
Go to Pangasinan... Hundred Islands and at least Bolinao... then go farther north... especifically Vigan and Sand Dunes in Ilocos... Then Baguio... I will also recommend Caramoan Island or Calaguas in Bicol Region over Boracay... or El Nido and Coron in Palawan
@@MonicaEspinosa You will always be welcome. Have a safe trip. BTW... you sound like Merida from Disney's Brave for some reason.... or am I imagining things? 😆😅
A week long trip to the Philippines could probably limit your stay in Manila - and maybe a side trip to Pangasinan perhaps add Baguio for a taste of the local experience. Enjoy! 😎🤙
So, do you also have a Philippines passport, by birthright or claimed through RA9225? Like you I intend to go back in one year, after 55 years away. But unlike you, I have no family there.
To make your trip meaningful, may I suggest you dig deep into Filipino culture. Here's a video about our culture: ua-cam.com/video/ha2dZbBlKuA/v-deo.html
Thank you for this recommendation, I really enjoyed watching the Filipino professor eloquently express how rich the Filipino culture is and talk about its fascinating history. Definitely a must watch for all Filipinos 👏🏼 There is a big emphasis on community relations which is something I really cherish and celebrate from my Filipino side 🥳🇵🇭
