    Games like Stardew valley, Minecraft, and animal crossing have made me not only be a nicer and overall better person.. they have made me really care about my surroundings and the effect of having a nice space to be comfy and relaxed in.

    Hello! I just stumbled across this video while trying to find a way to cope with some of the mental problems that have been plaguing me, and I thought "Huh, wouldn't it be neat if Minecraft, or just gaming in general, could be some form of therapy?" Well, two search terms and a couple of scrolling, and here I am!
    This is such an amazing, well-spoken, researched video! I love your voice (very ASMR-like), and your mindful approach to gaming is very informative and helpful. It gave me some things to reflect upon, and now I know how I might utilize Minecraft to cope with my own issues.
    Things have been extremely rough during quarantine, and my mental health has deteriorated so much; add alongside the fact that I live in a not-so-great family, and that my mental health has been rotting for so long. I find that, especially being 17 right now (18 in a month), I, too, long for freedom. I want to be free of my parents' immense control over every aspect of my life, and I want to be free from my depression, anxiety, loneliness, self-hatred, and (occasional, yet frequent) suicidal thoughts and ideation. Unfortunately, I can't get this freedom right now, due to my circumstances. So, it's no wonder why I like games like Minecraft so much; I actually get to have control over my life, unlike in real life. While I know it's not best to always be engaged in escapism, playing video games is one of the only ways that I can keep some semblance of sanity and normality. Gaming is truly one of the times in my life where I'm not constantly haunted by very negative thoughts.
    I am honestly surprised this doesn't have at least 10k views! I really would love to see you cover more stuff! I'm glad to have found such a hidden gem on UA-cam. You've earned yourself a new subscriber! :-)

      @@ScreenTherapy Thank you for the kind (and pretty swift) reply! ❤ I'm really happy that I could share a little of my experiences, since I don't really get the chance to be open about myself in my own life (and no one really cares about me anyways). I'm glad to know that requests are open, because I'd love to see more videos. Now, if you excuse me, I've got a mountain house to build after a binge session (of your vids) 😎 Stay safe!

      Hey there Ian - I am in the middle of trying to plan a cool experience for young people that utilizes Minecraft as a form of mental health and as a form of creative therapy... two searches in and this video popped up... THANK YOU Screen Therapy. Sharing this with our Mental Health / Social Work team so we can all learn some more and craft something that can help our kids.

      I think I need to rewatch the video so that I listen to what's being said rather than identifying which bits of footage are from the Survival Guide. ^_^;
