I'm one of the Chinese viewers of your video and I'm always following with interest the situations in North Korea, I think all those North Koreans who can escape from this country are too incredible. I break the laws in mainland China by using VPN to send you this Christmas Blessing. I hope North Koreans can celebrate Christmas one day.

Happy Holidays to you and Happy year of the Rabbit when it hops on over! You may be as impressed with North Koreans who make it out as much as I am but I am also impressed with people like you, who defy the regime and insist on thinking critically and seeking information. You are the resistance to ignorance and slavery my friend, just as much as people like Yeonmi are. I often think there should be some way to provide free VPNs to the poorest citizens living under totalitarian regimes. Hopefully, one day someone will figure it out. Keep up the good fight! I hope one day China truly belongs to its people. Be careful, stay safe and healthy to fight another day! Love from the west.

We do have many priveledges but now freedom of speech is slowly being taken away by our western governments. You cannot say anything anymore without “offending” someone. As for freedom of religion, sure we’re all free to practice whatever religion we want but also it seems that Islam is spreading so rapidly in the Western world that its eroding all of the Western customs & traditions. As Yeonmi said, our western governments don’t care that North Korea wants to take over which unfortunately may happen at this rate since all of the western countries worship China who is a huge ally to North Korea. We all need to wake up & realize whats happening with our freedoms before its too late.

Hi Yeonmi ☺️ Happy to see you back! Happy to hear you’ve beaten your health issue, thankfully ☺️ I know a while back you said you had moved to NYC. There is a nuclear plant in NYC that I remember from my research on it I believe is an older plant that will be shut down soon that leaks stuff into the Hudson River. You may be more susceptible to it since you have a past with starvation, malnutrition, etc. due to growing up in North Korea. If you live near this plant, please move. I’m only looking out for you and your health and I’m not here to argue with anyone in the comment section. My grandparents had moved to a town with a nuclear plant within like 2-10 miles from them(can’t remember exactly how many but it was very close). And they both wound up getting cancer and other people in their neighborhood also had cancer, even some of the same forms of cancer (called a cancer cluster). That plant too is old and leaking and will be shut down soon as well. I’m just looking out for you. I have to say this just in case you are living very close to it so you know to move. You deserve nothing but the best life and to be able to continue with your work.

The problem with the current situation, is that with the invasion of Ukraine, pretty much the entire west has doubled down on their military (with Japan being the most recent). The east (N Korea, Russia, China) are still on a huge disadvantage when it comes to everything except nuclear weapons (which doesn't really matter since both have enough). Even the total military of Japan, S Korea, Nato and the EU is larger than these juggernauts. The invasion of Ukraine was way to early to catch these power slipping and the response arrived directly. The west stopped caring for a lot of these countries (middle east, China) but is more ready to wage an economic war than a real war. The economic leverage of China is big, and for the EU, Russia is not unimportant, but the consumer's power lies mainly in the west, making it's leverage on the market undeniable.

The far right is where fascism is born. Democracy is very fragile. This week in Germany and Peru, the right attempted a take over for white supremacy in Germany and bring back a Nazi government and in Peru the president lost the election and refused to leave office. Both were in prison 1 day later. We had that happen with Trump and he is still free.

To think that Kim Yo-jong’s father thought she’d be better as head of govt. than her brother, she has to be one ruthless piece of work. Maybe he trusted her evaluative skills over her brother’s and knew she’d be absolutely resolute, regardless of advisors, allies and enemies, to further the N. Korean mission. Maybe it boils down to trusting she’d know when to threaten and when to actually “push the button”.

Why would KJU give a damn about someone's UA-cam channel? He doesn't care what people outside North Korea think of him. He doesn't _have_ to care what people inside North Korea (who can't see UA-cam anyway) think of him. All the bluster on this channel doesn't make a scrap of difference to KJU's hold on power and the stability of his regime. It's like an ant climbing an elephant's leg threatening to rape. All the "praying" isn't making any difference either.

God bless you, Yeonmi, for teaching us the true lessons about Communism. I visited a Communist country in the 70s and experienced being followed and about the black market (just for wanting a special art book). People in the USA are not learning the truths about Communism and Socialism in schools. There is too much arguing and hate. Yeonmi is teaching a valuable lesson - one which we ALL need to heed and remember. Democracy is where we truly have choices and support. Asking our Lord’s blessings upon you, Yeonmi, and everyone reading this and may you enjoy the blessings of Christmas throughout the year. 8:15

Happy to see you again. Though I think you give Russia too much credit...their military can't even take over Ukraine...their tiny neighbor (they also had issues in Georgia until they started using their air and naval power more intensely). China has a large military but is untested. So yes its scary it could start a large war but also I think China doesn't' want a long conflict...and if it happens Taiwan and Japan will assert their control over their disputed territories.
