Hi, my wife's picture here, I'm her husband. I acquired a Brittany piece a few years ago that I'm just learning today it's identity and origin. From a plate on the inside of the door I could make out that it was French. But it's a buffet. I believe it's walnut. Dovetail. It's more than 8 feet I believe or right at it. It has 3 pieces. The bottom cabinet, the middle perch the top sits on and then the top. The carved ornament that attoped it is a ships wheel with 2 lads leaning against the ship wheel back to back and they both have long horns that decend into their laps with the flare at the bottom. Sadly apparently it was 1/4 inch too high and a previous owner shaved the point off to fit their home. It has a hook closure in the top cabinet. I see so many exact elements that exist in my own piece. I can't help but think it may have been carved by the same person(s).

Yes, it's possible. The same shop or carver produced many pieces!

@@antiqueacquisitions8090 Do Breton pieces top out in value around the $5-7000 mark? That's about all i see being asked for online.
