Yeah man.. you pick some great stretches of water. I stick pretty close to home here between Dryden and Thunder Bay, but these videos have shown me so many more lakes and rivers than I ever would have known existed. Thanks.
Great adventure you and your buddy had, There is nothing more pleasing to me than to have a husky as a bowmate on an otherwise solo canoe trip.. Hope your are both well and enjoying the water still.
Wow! Loved the video! No one ever shows what can happen in an instant. Great job and recovery. Those Black Flies remind me of my youth in the Adirondacks of New York State. I don't miss them at all!
How this doesn't have a million views I'll never know. I also enjoy the vid of your grouse hunt with your longbow..... Good stuff...! Survivor man has nothing on you...
nice trip - yep remember them hatches as a kid - north of Mattawa ont --- hope all is well with u folks - miss ur videos - hope to see u agin soon - take care and an ear scratch fer peaks
Great video Dan. Thanks for sharing. Love how you roll with the punches and keep a positive attitude. I've never experienced black flies like that and can't say I want to!
Good trip boys been there done that . We love the rivers dumping north of and into Lk Superior. And the bugs are just like that in June when the fishing is at its best. Thanks 👍🇨🇦
bromeley is my honey hole 4 fishing since am 16 , and now am 56 , nice video, new it when i saw those rapid, after that brigde it not nice at all . then whenu hit the old brideg, it nice, 4 10 mile . when u c the fisrt set of rapidsssss u donot go down because it relly rough 4 6 miles 2 the groudhog trusrt me need a raf
Hey Dan. Great video. I am quite familiar with area. You did a very good job showing how beautiful and picturesque Northern Ontario is. Brave of you to do that trip during the worst time for black flies. I'm subscribed to your channel and will promote it. Keep the videos coming
CNYoutdoorsman Your husky looks identical to mine. He's so lucky to experience that freedom, I would love to give my husky that freedom for just one day, but he would just take off, they are so independent and stubborn -but so loveable. Cool video
Enjoyed the video. I wish you had some footage on the ledge rescue of the boat, but understand why you don't. Zip ties make a really good repair item for a blown portage yolk. Also glad you did NOT have a vest or collar on the dog. Too dangerous in a rapid the vest or collar can catch on a sweeper and drown the dog.
Dan, I became very nervous watching your video when I saw all the trees hanging into the water and the. I saw your canoe go down. I would be afraid to paddle that river, although maybe with two canoes I would consider it but I would not want to be the lead canoe and I would want to know how much information there is on the route. I paddle much easier rivers that you through wilderness that is less wild and I actually feel I need two extra paddles and not just one. Anyway, these rivers are always beautiful of course and that is really great footage. Since you had a dog, you weren’t really alone. I don’t have a dog but I don’t really like going it alone in the wilderness too far from the nearest dirt road etc
The coolest dog ever!!! We love to go canoeing with our two huskies, but we never do rivers, only lakes. Hos did you survive all that blackflies? In Norway we use a net on our caps (against mosquitos). Thank you for a real good video, we enjoyed every second. Greetings from Tove and Kaja, two 'old women' in the wild.
Do you really know how to ride them rabbits in a canoe I will go with you any day on any River you are very talented love the action and this video love your dog awesome
My husky would have took off running the first time I let him out of the canoe and I never would have seen him again. haha.. I'm not sure where I went wrong.
Just discovered your channel. You are intense! I saw that sweeper and gasped before you angled left! I've run some rapids in a canoe but nothing like you did in this video. Nice footage, what type of camera and tripod were used?
Those black fly’s were nasty. That bug jacket saved your life for sure. Thanks 🇨🇦👍
What an adorable dog you have! I would probably have panicked throughout the whole trip :D
Great footage and what a great husky Peaks is in the canoe. Peace and love bro and here's to you having more adventures with Peaks.
Yeah man.. you pick some great stretches of water. I stick pretty close to home here between Dryden and Thunder Bay, but these videos have shown me so many more lakes and rivers than I ever would have known existed. Thanks.

That's one insane river trip, gorgeous scenery; the black flies at 19:30 are nuts. Thanks for sharing!
Great adventure you and your buddy had, There is nothing more pleasing to me than to have a husky as a bowmate on an otherwise solo canoe trip.. Hope your are both well and enjoying the water still.
Great film. Many thanks for taking us with you.
cool vid! I like seeing how much your dog enjoys canoeing. It is fun to watch how well he obeys your commands in the canoe.
"Lie down; Peaks, lie down!" Dog proceeds to stand sideways and stare at you as you approach whitewater. Ha! Looked like a blast.
Wow! Loved the video! No one ever shows what can happen in an instant. Great job and recovery. Those Black Flies remind me of my youth in the Adirondacks of New York State. I don't miss them at all!
This was very relaxing to watch despite the flies. 😂 I'd love to see more videos like this with your pup. 🙂
How this doesn't have a million views I'll never know.
I also enjoy the vid of your grouse hunt with your longbow.....

SUCH A GOOD CANOE DOG! I wish my shepherd behaved like this in my clipper... I wouldn't dare take him on a 4 day paddle. Impressive!

Lots of adventure . The flies ruin it . I did the Allagash years ago . Flies make a great trip unhappy .
Real outdoorsman.
Awesome video. I love how your dog was nonplussed by everything going on. What lure for the pike?
I was using a white spoon but pike like many types of lures and colours. .Happy fishing.

Was that a gunshot at 13:15?
Gorgeous dog
That was a Beaver slapping it's tail on the water giving off a warning.
Fantastic video! Really enjoyed watching it. I would love to try a canadian canoe. Are they hard to steer and balance?
I've been to a few lakes in the area doing the fly in's but no rivers on vacation.
Fantastico video , very beautiful , what type of insect that bothers there ?? flies or mosquitoes ??
Flaviano URTIGÃO Blackflies and mosquitoes but mostly blackflies. Thanks for watching!
A beautiful dog. Malamute or Siberian hushy?

Lovely!
Hey! Love your channel! Which canoe you using in this trip?
nice video... nice dog...
Great video! Beautiful dog! What breed is is?
Your dog proved to be good company.
Awesome!
No head nets? I learned the hard way living in Alaska for 37 years. Head nets!!!!
How did Peaks handle the black flies. I'm reluctant to take my dog when the black flies are that thick?
Do you really know how to ride them rabbits in a canoe I will go with you any day on any River you are very talented love the action and this video love your dog awesome

JT Outdoors Thanks for watching!
Hey........
I recognize a few of them black flies
what kind of bait and lure you using to catch fish?
Doesn't matter what dog breed, this is like Disney World to them.
In places it looks like Siberia, especially these flying beasts 🙄, nice video.
KIROUACK???? As in "The Last Guide" son?
Beautiful trip, but I got River Blindness just from watching it. Screw those flies.
Not easy way - but cool :-)
What a great dog! Also sorry but it’s “pristine” wilderness not “prestine.”
👍🏼👍🏼❤️❤️❤️
those black flies are giving me anxiety just watching them swarm the camera lens. This is why I do my big trip in sept every year.
Crazy Flies !
My husky would have took off running the first time I let him out of the canoe and I never would have seen him again. haha.. I'm not sure where I went wrong.
