Luciano Bueno I like artisan as a summer fragrance. I like citrus fragrances and this is a great one for me. It’s a very orange fragrance. This is what drew me in to the John Varvatos line. When the days get hot this is a dumb reach for me. They are not at all the same to me.

I've just bought the artisan and liked it soooo much, and since I've found that this company has filed for bankruptcy, I'm in doubt of buying another artisan or going for the pure version wich skyrocket in price here in brazil and is sold out almost everywhere. I mean, the pure is really that better than the original artisan? Is that possible?lol
Artisan Blu is the best and most unique in that list in my opinion, I don't get the Nautica or Old Spice resemblance, to me it smells like Mandarino di Amalfi by Tom Ford but much more affordable version of it and longer lasting than the Mandarino di Amalfi.

I do not like the Pure, its too Citrusy. All i can smell is citrus and ginger, and i hate both of them. Artisan Blu is way better for me, when i smell it i feel like i'm on a beach.

I agree with your take. I own all three. I prefer pure. It is one of my go to fragrances in the summer. John Varvatos is my favorite designer house.

Artisan Acqua smells like a lighter rendition of Azzaro Pour Homme, released in 1978. That's probably what you pick up.

Artisan Pure smells similar to Guerlain L’eau Boise to me. Artisan lacks the lime and has less vetiver

Artisan Pure performs the best of these.... I like the scent of Artisan Blu the best but performance is not good. I have not tried the Aqua.
Performance is not bad. Doesn’t project massively but has better than average longevity.
Artisan Pure is unlike any other flankers in d market. Not yet come across d same scent perfumes. So its unique n interesting.
when I think of 80s fresh after shower soapy, i think of Davidoff Cool Water, don't know if that's what you were thinking
