This is the 2nd time I listen and watch Marc singing this wonderful song, because I watched him singing "Bicycle Race" last Friday on his UA-cam channel and... He scared me A LOT, because I wasn't waiting for this surprise, hahahaha!!!!! But Marc really scared when he sang my favorite part of the song:

A BIG shoutout to Orland Park (where I used to live). To all you Orland Park folks, imagine this: I lived on the south side of 147th St, back when there was NO mall right or homes RIGHT behind it. We could look due south, southeast for ages, and southwest to 94th Ave, and all there was to see was acres and acres of FLAT. It was a HUGE sod farm. That also meant the wind would blow all the fresh snow up against the back of our row of houses. We could open our second floor windows and scoop up handfuls of fresh snow. We could drive for MILES, south on 94th Ave and see NOTHING but fields on either side of the road. We used to go sledding in the HUGE vacant fields right where the IRS office is now. Of course, this was all back in 1969, so there is that. 😃

Marc is great, but this band is as Flat as a pancake. Where's the guitar, bass, and drums, they just seem too distant from the show, it's just a great singer, singing along to a band that isn't really producing the Queen Sound, so the whole thing just feels flat. The Band really does sound tired here, just going through the motions.
You know all of this from one song?
Or considered the possibility that either the sound set up or the conditions for recording were less than ideal? This is a superlative band who always give their all. I doubt any of them would ever give less than 100 percent.
Flat? No. Can the band pitch in participation- and energy-wise? For sure! Still a great band tho!
