Knew I would be seeing Lift A Sail hate comments on this video smh. I don't care what anybody says Lift A Sail is an amazing record. That aside, solid song. LP's drumming is great, duh. The rest of it's solid. Not my favorite stuff, but I like it enough to support it. Looking forward to hearing how the rest of the album turns out.
I saw these guys at a lagwagon show in portland last week. And I was blown away especially with the drumming. For an uprising band they killed it. Especially the drummer. They sounded like they had been playing together for years. Amazing band not the biggest fan on the sound but they will definetly be getting somewhwrre and would like to see them again
i found this through some dude's instagram, the preview sounded cool, so i checked the whole song out, this is really sick guys, the drums are so dope. can't wait to hear more!
Its just the begining..... and already rokk'n yet ready for more yeayyyuhhh!!! Love this new sheet!! Out with the old in with the new- no need for negative nothins! It's all Rad here!!
Fuck. This is actually really good. The fact that Ben and LP were both in Yellowcard is definitely going to give them a boost. This sounds much better than Lift a Sail.
Yellowcard lost any distinguishable guitar 'style' when Harper left. He had the energy and musical quirkiness to really inject life into YC. LP is gold as always.
To say this is better than Lift a Sail, is laughable. Coming from a drummer's perspective, I understand preferring this style over YC's right now. Everything else (production, lyrics, instrumental,) LAS walks all over this track. I'm a huge fan of LP. I really like this track and the drum work. But to say Lift a Sail is worse, than hearing (just) Lyrics With My Pen, is super biased. I prefer LP'S drumming all day long, but the direction YC went, didn't need this style of drumming. And nate young did more than good enough for that record.
Can anyone say drums? LP has definitely surpassed his counterparts. Would love to see him playing with Dan and Pete of Inspection 12. Yellowcard never came close to the talent of i12. This Legend is more on par with Craig's Brother or Hey Mike. With that said , I'm still looking forward to the live act.
I think LP has more potential than Yellowcard could need since it is more of a 'slower' rock genre as compared to This Legend which emphasise more on drums etc and well more 'hardcore' kind of rock. Miss seeing him with YC though..
I was kind of hoping LP's new band would be heavier to really put his skills to full use. This sounds too similar and seems to me he should have just continued on with Yellowcard.
@@theTylerMorale Nah dude, he left because of the direction they were going in with Lift A Sail. That's the only album that doesn't really have as great drumming. Their last album did have good drums.
Saw them a the Olympia two weeks ago opening for Lagwagon. Suprised to see they're really tight live. Drumming is outstanding, but the bass and guitar is nothing really special, I like his voice, but I like it a lot more live it sounds a bit processed on the album. The didn't really do anything new on the album, it's still an interesting and enjoyable listen though.
Without the drum track by lp, this song is nothing special. Not bad, but they have plenty of room to develop and differentiate themselves from the pack still.
Idk man, it sounds underwhelming. I could count on several other similar genre bands, and these guys aren't even on the same page. Love LP, he was a fun experience in Yellowcard. But seeing he left YC for this, it looks like poetic disaster.Nate Young had the best bit of the cake undoubtedly. Their name is extremely ironic. Also, I don't like the lead vocalist of this band. He kind of ruins it for me. Even that guy from ATL (don't know the name) is above this dude for me, at least the ATL guy had the looks to go with the voice.
@@stephendre2902 I'm still a fan, mate. Big Labels and Talent Scouts are useless if it isn't for the fans. We're the ones who provide the financial support for the Musicians. Yeah it's cool, thank you for stopping by.

Great tune!! And guys, cant we like this AND the YC record. both great music in they're own right.
surprisingly good.

yeeeah it's fast and melodic!
Considerably more excited for this album than "Lift A Sail". LP is a beast.

I miss stanley and the search. but this legend to became legend!
Hell yeah.
Can't wait for the album.
LP is amazing..
Obviously the name af the band refers to Longineu Parsons III
I agree
Upon second listen, the song really is good. Really amped for the rest of the album now.

TheFearedPhantom Why even compare them? It’s two different bands. I prefer this way more...

+Tyler Price he was kicked out due to politics i t seems
That sucks. Especially since he'd been in so long

just another pop-punk band. The 90s are far behind us...

Si Cazzo!!!!!! w LP3!!!!
drum work is legend. i like the sound overall but vocal and lyrics were underwhelming.
Mikko Mindanao Lyrics aren’t great but the vocals sound fine to me.
