This changes everything for skid row in my opinion, I have always been team BACH , but they FINALLY found the right guy, I was wrong, it took them 30 years to prove me wrong , but it just happened, he is THE GUY , period.
I’m with you 100% i always went to see Skid Row cause I love Rachel, Snake, & Scotti but never cared for any singer they had but this guy is exactly what they need! They sounds Amazing!!
I'm an old die hard fan, and I gotta say I love the new guy. Skid Row is back for real, I'd say. I love Baz but his voice is not what what is use to be. It's just not and its a shame. But time moves on. I wonder if anyone had the reaction I had, learning the new title single, I was like.... uh, no, the gang is NOT all here. Is this a jab at Baz!? But after I got over that, I decided I can love Baz and everything he did, and also Love this new guy. Long Live Skid Row. They are back and I can't wait to see them. LOVE LOVE LOVE.
This guy is the CLOSEST they are going to get to a singer like Bach. Erik is the perfect addition to what was the sound to the origional stuff....The guy has pipes for sure and proved it, I couldnt believe the 18 and life version he did studio. Skid is Back!
Been a fan since 89 and love the albums with Seb on. I’ve not bothered with albums after he left but this guy got me interested again. He’s the best singer they’ve had since Seb left. Seb isn’t coming back to this band (which is a shame) so people either need to accept this or move on. I saw skid row in 91 supporting GNR at Wembley, 91 again in London on their own tour and 95 twice on subhuman race tour. I’ve just bought tickets to their show with the new singer in London in a October.
WOW!! I just heard this on the way home. Didn't know there was a new singer. Sounded a lot like Sebastian! 10 solid songs that took me back to the late 80's. I could have sworn I felt my mullet growing back! \m/ ( - - ) \m/
Well it’s a good song, probably the best thing they have done since Subhuman Race almost 30 years ago. Nobody sings like Bas, those are tough shoes to fill, but this dude is really good. If he is still in the band by the time I’m done writing this comment I wish him well
@@dvvaughn564 you sound retarded. Subhuman is the Best Skid Row record ever. At the very least it’s 2nd best after Slave. But in my opinion it’s Wayyy better
Been a huge fan of Erik and H.E.A.T and was bummed he left that band. But now I'm excited to see him in Skid Row and I'm digging the new tune. It's catchy and reminds me of their debut. For me it's easily the best song they've done since the Slave to the Grind album. I know some people will never get past Bach and I get it. But Erik is awesome and hope people at least give him a shot. I think he can do the hits justice and I'm more just looking forward to hearing more new music.
People will never stop comparing anything new to the Bach years. It's been like 25 years now, Bach is not coming back, People need to get over that. Sounds like skid row. Alot better than that zp guy.
This discussion is like ”kiss is not the same without ace”. I would concider them a new band or at least a new era. Eric is the vitamin injection this band needed.
The meter of the vocal in the verses immediately made me think of Wild Wild West by The Escape Club! Your statement of "The gang is not all here but close enough" pretty much sums up my feelings on this. Generally speaking, I thought it was a good solid rocker and I did enjoy it - if I did not know from anything, I would have taken it as a first album throwaway that was hauled out of the vault....and it would not surprise me if this was in fact their prime directive. Maybe they felt bringing in a Bas sound-a-like and polishing off some old school riffs was their only path to proverbial redemption. I don't know.....just my speculative opinion.
They will never top slave to the grind but At least they are still Kickin and they’re still rockin. I wonder if they’ll ever get back with Sebastian or not it’s really hard to say I don’t think they will even for loads of money I don’t know I’m interested to see what unfolds in the future
It's a really good song... not great, not amazing... but really good and sounds like what I expect from Skid Row. Makes me excited to see them in concert again, and to buy the rest of the new record.
Skid Row is back. Erik is his name from H.E.A.T. This was fantastic. I saw Skid Row open for Bon Jovi and again literally days before to world shut down in 2020 with Slaughter.
It's not bad is about right. For reference I checked out a live performance of I Remember You from earlier this month. Have to admit, the guy can sing and does sound a lot like Bach. But I've long since moved on from those days.
Check out a band called "Life, Sex & Death" (LSD) They had 1 album in 1994 I believe. Great gimmick, odd history & a great band!! My name is Bobby L. this is my wife's account. Lol I love your channel I watch it all the time!! 🤘🤘🤘
Well Bobby L.. I really appreciate you hangin' about.. soooooooo I am gonna do LSD for you.. it's gonna be a couple weeks but look for it on my first listens I do on Sunday.. 🤘🤘
Just an opinion, of course, but its still a nope. This has always been my gripe with their choices to replace Sebastian: a metal front man needs a certain presence, magnetism and attitude. Otherwise, might as well get Bieber or that dude from Maroon 5 to front your band. I read that they met each other briefly, like an hour or something before he became the front man, and that doesn't bode well for me, either. They're loudly, nauseatingly vocal about how they aren't interested in doing anything unless it's fun for them, so how can they know he's going to fit the bill long term when they haven't spent a day together?

Kid’s beating cancer and has great pipes! But very much like warrant and queensryche this band is defined by the frontman who sang the original “hits”, therefore if they don’t ever reunite they will be doomed to playing bowling 🎳 alleys and casinos in downtown North Dakota
The only reason it is decent and sound slike Skid Row is because he is using Sebastions singing style. Which is fine... But it will never be the same without Sebastian to me..
I totally agree Lori! The first time I heard this I hear Sebastian without a doubt! But people will gravitate to it regardless. Great throwback sound but a Sebastian copy for sure.

Meh. Stuck in 1989. Need to update themselves. Singer has good pipes but no stage presence and very cliche mannerisms. Not a fan when singers make audiences yell louder - i.e., "I can't hear u". Cringe. If you wanna make them yell louder you need to do it through the music and performance, not ask them to gratuitously give you praise.
I see people praising Erik, but honestly? This sounds like a total generic song with a total generic hair metal vocal from the '80s... Sebastian's voice was at least unique and Slave to the Grind had a unique sound as well. I'll stick to the old material.
