The art direction and world of Mohrta look super unique, as if it were adapted from a novel with extensive lore. Might have to give Pager a try too; feels especially fitting to play with Halloween right around the corner 👻
Great list, I really like how you give a concise description of these games. I would also like to recommend RAM (Random Acess Mayhem). Its a rogue-like with no player character, meaning you control the bots (enemies) and every time you die you enter another bot, until you run out of the bar which lets you as the game names it "swap" to another bot. It's hard and rewarding gameplay cicle with cool visuals and soundtrack just makes you keep going for another game. It's also just cool how much phisycs and mechanics there are with each bot, so the mechanic of swapping really feels explored and well used!
It's so awesome to see that our lists are almost completely different, it shows just how many excellent demos there are in this next fest! Great video!
I really liked Catboyzoom, it's just a nice little flowgame based on simplified source movement with new mechanics. Otherskin was a surprise in that it feels exactly like that era of late PS2 platformer action-adventure games to me, complete with sidekick voice who talks too much, currency item that gets spread around in bloomy smeared orbs everywhere, just acceptable platforming, and weirdly janky but engaging combat.
haven't heard anyone talk about it planning on making a video on it myself because i had an amazing time with it, but if you like turn based combat with funny characters a kin to Fire Emblem, or Baulder's Gate, Dice Gambit is an amazing game and the music and Va work is a big plus !
I was just looking at the Nextfest list looking for demos. I haven't played a lot of demos yet since I've downloaded a lot of demos from various games, so I'll just list the ones I thought was interesting looking Pipkin - Pokemon meets Halloween, (also Gravity Falls? the people on the cover look like that) Scarlet Deer inn - A game where all the characters have been drawn and animated by machine embroidery Terror Diversion - A a text adventure game inspired by Junji Ito based on the art, October Panic - Looks like a really cute short Platformer about Halloween
Of course youtube shows me a Harry Potter commercial before this video😆 Great list, all of these games look cool, and several I hadn’t heard of before, so thanks! The demo I’m most excited to try when I get back home to my PC is Urban Myth Dissolution Center. I’m just a huge mark for the pixel-anime art style they are using (see also: Yuppie Psycho). Hopefully it turns out well.
I have been playing the Demo of *_Streets of Rogue 2_* its pretty good, still a bit rough around the edges, but it show quite a lot of Potential, pretty sure the Dev might love your feedback to the Game that is made to give the player quite a lot of freedom, as it did with the first one, but this time its Open World and also outside.
If I had a nickel for every game/demo released this year where you play as a sentient yellow car creature with unorthodox gameplay, I'd have 3 nickels. Not a lot, but weird that it happened so many times in one year.
@MikeHart66 Not relevant in this case. All 3 titles are very unique and distinct from each other. The only similarities are what I mentioned and only vaguely at that.
Couldn’t agree more with Secret Agent Wizard Boy! Tried the demo with a friend last night and it brought back that feeling of goofing around in GMOD as a kid. Can’t wait for the full release!

Looks like a modern version of Don Quixote :D
wow, you're so right!

that does look very cool!
super cool list :)
For me with the whole next fest I really liked the AI LIMIT demo.

Cracked me up
Are the others Yellow Taxi Goes Vroom and What the Car?
@@PikaPhantomVG Yep!
Well when wannabes used game templates, that is what you get. Steam is flooded with so much “games” these days that I am not surprised.

30 Birds for the win
i recommend crashlands 2! ive been following them, and the team behind it is very passionate!
I strongly recommend Beastieball, a Pokémon like with... Volleyball, by the team behind Chicory, with Lena Raine!
I've played that one before! i love the beast designs :)
So much great stuff. Thanks for making those highlights!
You should check out a game called robes and wrinkles!
Rift of the Necrodancer!
just played and thought, "hey, this is pretty easy... oh wait..."
@@nocapsbb the tutorial is easy 😂 everything after not so much for me lol
u should try overthrown
you forgot "The Void Project"
Couldn’t agree more with Secret Agent Wizard Boy! Tried the demo with a friend last night and it brought back that feeling of goofing around in GMOD as a kid. Can’t wait for the full release!
the npc dialogue was killing me lol
30birds has such a unique art style. Absolutely stunning!
aaand that trailer is two years old, from the previous demo. looks even better now!
Unrailed 2
Is it safe to assume you've given up on Outer Wilds? 🥲
Haven't quite finished the game yet, but I did stop recording stuff. so yeah, no more videos on that
