All these people complaining about Ferry playing not the 'pure Uplifting Trance'.
Uplifting Trance is not the only good subgenre of Trance. Progressive Trance is a great subgenre too.

In my opinion Ferry is No 1 of classic trance now.
Ferry corsten has mellowed out a bit in his music preferences, 20+ years ago ferry used to blow the roof off the clubs with his big euphoric fast energetic trance sets.

Always remember that each DJ is just a part of the experience that an event is putting on. Ferry was between two producer/DJs that usually deliver hard hitting, fast pace mixes, G.O. prior to and Kearney after.
A crowd will tire out if they have 5+ hours of non-stop hard hitting music. In the context of where Ferry fell a slower paced, slightly less energetic set is what was needed to make sure the crowd would be able to sustain itself through Kearney. With that in mind, this set is exactly what was needed and it was entrusted to one of the legends.
Sod Those 2! Ferry and tiesto are the literal gods of trance. I don’t go to see ferry to hear this meh set.

Every live set that is recorded from every event from Luminosity to Transmission and everything in between never captures the "actual real sound" of the venue itself (echo, pounding bass) it seems like it`s a direct line into the mixer that`s recording the set as an mp3 file, so you actually don`t get to hear and feel the true sound of what it`s like being there for example if someone recorded on their phone and then uploaded it.
I would much prefer hearing the true sound like it`s inside a stadium or something.

I never thought I would hear myself say this but this years sets are shit. Is this really the best that Trance has to offer these days? I felt like I was watching an EDM festival. It seems to be a lot of shitty remixes of great tracks from the 90's and not just in this set, for example, Chicane - Offshore. Why play a totally garbage remix of such an iconic track? Good quality modern trance is over. I'll stick to my 90s/early 2000s trance music. Luminosity used to be a great festival but now the EDM crowd are taking it over. They will have Tiesto playing here next year.

This set flat out sucks
For what it's worth, I think it's a very decent mix of Offshore. Nothing's topped the Disco Citizens mix, granted, but if these kinds of mixes bring a classic to new crowds, I'm all for it.
I just hate when there is people on the stage that has nothing to do with the show... specially kids.. yuk
Ferry's daughter, nephew and his brother etc did join him to the festival to see him play. Super cool experience for them, so just be happy for them ;-)
