Maybe the reason why Wu Huan chose Muguang over Gu Jun is because he can be easily manipulated and he's a coward. I can see Wu Huan's stare to Gu Jun at first she have real feelings for him but as time passes her ambition got stronger that's why she let go of romantic feeling for the sake of her greediness to become powerful. Gu Jun is Shanggu's best desciple, she's lucky enough to choose him at the day of the selection because Gu Jun did not disappoint her.
I love this drama. The love of tianqi for houchi is really touching. He know she only love bai jua but still caring until the end. And the gujun gives his all life only for keeping safe her and her baby this scene is really very sad. But bai jua is still silent bcoz he has his own plan to protect her from the tribulation.

Saddest scene ever!!! 😢 .. God Gu Jun's sacrifice is no less than heartbreaking than his Master's Shanggu for the world.. so he gave her back to the world ans gave her her wish (a normal immortal life) before that.
Shanggu is smart enough to choose Gu Jun as her disciple over Muguang. Yue Mi thought she is lucky that she have the best disciple during the day of the chosen. Poor Yue Mi. She is killed by Muguang's wife and Muguang is a coward.
what irritated me the most in this scene is that no one moved, even the emperor himself, or did smth to wu huan after being immoral and the fact that she is the queen of heavenly palace. like how could you just stand there knowing that someone is about to die and do nothing abt it?😭

I don’t get why everyone hate bai jue. I know he’s bad here for not doing anything to protect houchi but if u watch the whole movie you’d know that he doing that cause he want to protect houchi from wu huan. And he should think abt all the being in three realm not only her. It’s the best for everyone but I also don’t like the way houchi get humiliated too. Anyway if you haven’t watch it you should definitely watch it.
Yes he did all of that to protect her but what happened if Gu Jun didn’t have the powder of chaos’s to save her? She would’ve died along with the baby, everything bai jue did to protect her would’ve been in vain. I think it’s right to hate him at least in this episode for not helping or stopping Wu Haun

He said it here is just a fake reason to make people believe why he can relive shangu. (Again I’m not sure, since it been a long time I’ve watch the whole thing) and if no one do anything I think bai jue will help shangu.
I really really hate bie jue... what was he doing whie houchi was dieing... he had done nothing... he failed as a husband as a father and as a teacher... his so called "keeping her safe" methods brought her humiliation, betrayal, now at the verge of death... she'd rather die than to endure such a awful life. I really feel she'd be rather happy with demon god than with such egomaniac! And houchi .. girl it's one thing to love a person but how can you let yourself be his slave! Although chingmu is not a true God but he rather fight for her than seeing her being humiliate,,,, no matter what his reason I don't find it good enough to act like that..
