You absolutely need to react to the full episodes of Bottom. It’s absolutely hilarious, Rik and Ade are two of the funniest guys ever. It’s violent, crude, silly and downright hilarious.

You can react to full episodes of this no problem. Tons of UA-camrs have. It's not gory it's just proper old school British slapstick comedy. Bottom, The Young Ones and Filthy Rich and Catflaps are amongst the best British comedies eve created.

Can you just imagine the woke meltdown today from millennials watching the episode of the young ones where the policeman ( wearing sunglasses) grabs the guy ringing the doorbell telling him “ that’s white mans electricity your using “ ……..and then when the policeman takes off his sunglasses he apologises telling the guy “ I’m sorry , I thought you was a nigger “ !!!! ……….and also in the episode where Rik goes to phone Margaret Thatcher to tell her that he’s got an atom bomb and upon arriving at the phone box it’s covered in graffiti with the words “ wogs go home “ ! …………..the snowflakes of today wouldn’t be able to handle it at all !
They also did a completely ridiculous movie called Guest House Paradiso (1999).
I absolutely loved Bottom, The Young Ones, and The Comic Strip Presents. All worth a watch. Rik Mayall was hilarious, and is truly missed. Adrian Edmonson still .acts, but has also done great cooking shows, which showed him travelling. all over the Uk

This was great 90s entertainment, back when folks were not online being pansies and easily offended all the time. You should check their live shows on YT, when they go off character or forget the script the adlibs are fantastic.
They never went off script. The ‘ad libs’ we’re scripted and were the same every night.

I never quite "got" this show. The slapstick was a bit too obvious for me. A similar but maybe more "sophisticated" (if you can call it that?!) show that I find much funnier is Men Behaving Badly. Basically 2 batchelors always trying to get 2 girls to either become there girlfriends, stay their girlfriends or come back. Some hilarious scenes in that one.

Rick Mayall is still badly missed. It was such a shock when he died. He and AdeEdmonton were just so so funny together.

I remember watching Bottom in the 90s when I was a young teenager. My grandparents were round visiting and my Mum was talking to my Gran as they were about to leave. So my Grandad stood there and watched Bottom for a few minutes with me. This was totally unlike anything that he would have watched at home with my Gran. I'll always remember the look on his face and the sound of him laughing as Rik and Ade went at each other. This brought me so much joy and I still think it's probably the funniest comedy show ever created. RIP Rik.
I remember my octogenarian grandmother cracking up laughing at the accident episode.
To be fair if they grew up watching slapstick humour from the likes of Laurel & Hardy then you can see it’s pretty similar in most aspects !
I saw Ade Edmondson playing Scrooge in The Royal Shakespeare Company Theatre last Friday (not-so-humble brag there from me 🤣🤣) and he was AMAZING, he could command the attention of the whole audience in a scene with loads of other actors by just pulling a facial expression - legend
I was there on the Saturday. He was brilliant. Never seen Scrooge played like that before.

Exactly, why don't the morons at YT understand what slapstick is? They are braindead and have no understanding of context in relation to violence. It's clearly slapstick and comical in Bottom, not threatening or nasty like in some films or TV shows.
They just copied laurel & hardy tbf !
Growing up as a teenager in the UK I used to love Thursday evenings when this would air on regular TV in late 90’s…absolute love Bottom and grew up on it. So glad you enjoy it even if you can’t fully show on your channel at least watch in private keep up the good work

Bottom is one of the greatest UK comedies of all time! I love "Gas", "Burglar" and "Holy" episodes. If you ever get a chance, check out their film " Guest House Paradiso".

Bottom is one of my most favourite comedies ever. In this chess game scene, they were missing a lot of pieces so obviously, the dynamo duo improvised and used other things for the missing pieces. This fight is one of my favourite fights that they have in the show.

The Live Shows are epic where they interact with audience. Many have reacted to it. The Young Ones were the predecessor to Bottom with lighter brurality. Rick Mayall also appear several times as a guest actor as Lord Flashheart in Blackadder.
I find the Young Ones harder to watch now, it hasnt aged the best, but Bottom is still hilarious.

You should probably check out Rik Mayall(RIP) and Ade Edmondson in their early days. They were in a double act together called The Dangerous Brothers and they were in the The Young Ones, one of my favourite comedy shows from the 1980s, about a group of students sharing a house. They were also regulars in the 'Comic Strip presents...' series.
You may also recognise Rik Mayall as Lord Flash-Heart from Blackadder.
Sorry if someone has already explained this. The reason for all those odd chess pieces is because they only have five left. And the reason why is Eddie has been stealing and selling the others because apparently each piece is carved from ivory and worth £65-£85.

I watched this show on tape, from being about 5 years old, id watch the tape every night, and it would be Bottom and Red Dwarf, id go sleep to it up until it was taken off Netflix a few years ago

Theres only 3 seasons sadly, but they did live shows too, which are just as good, it was like a family member had died when Rik Mayall passed on

Bottom was shown first time from 1991 to 1995 as 3 x 6 episode series. Plus they did 4 live stage shows based around the tv show and a movie where they are hotel owners called Guesthouse Paradiso

It should be fine to react to this show. Numerous other youtubers have done it with no problems. There's a lot worse here on youtube than anything in Bottom. On the other hand maybe youtube's restrictions have got more strict recently? The problem with social media authority nowadays is it's becoming more and more controlled and policed by badly programmed automated technology rather than sensible humans with a basic understanding of context.
UA-cam needs to grow up. This was one of my favorite programs when I was about 9. You need to watch from the beginning to get the content. The dialogue is funny too.

Rik Mayall was something else, so much energy. Maybe not the best of our comedy writers but definitely up there with actors. I reckon Boomer would love Bottom, it is stupid, slapstick comedy at its finest and the live shows were especially hilarious and absolutely filthy 😆

There are 1 or 2 bits with comedy blood but for the most part and violence is just strictly cartoon and played for laughs but there is so much more to this show than the physical... Personally I got to see all the live Bottom shows, no blood or gore whatsoever just a similar level of profanity etc! that you are familiar with in shows like the 'Inbetweeners'... Two other major reaction channels are currently showing 'Ash & the Evil Dead', it is virtually all blood & gore (very, very funny though)... Hope you reconsider, you are missing a truly funny show... RIP Rik Mayal, a true legend...
Slapstick, silly, ridiculous, weird, and even sexism. But it was funny. It was one of the best comedies in the 90s. Rik and Ade were/are comedy geniuses. This was the comedy and many others I grew up on when I was a kid.

One of the greatest comedy shows of all time... we saw one of the live Bottom shows (have to be carefuly typing that... ) and it was so funny.... very underestimated.... I struggle to explain to my skeptical family members why I think it is genius, but I think it is
How can UA-cam be so blinkered about comedic slapstick 'violence'? You can get it in Laurel & Hardy films, Tom & Jerry cartoons, etc.
Another programme staring the same actors I would like to recommend is called The Young Ones. It's a 1980s comedy. I think you can watch some full episodes on UA-cam.
The Camping episode a cracker but to be honest they're all hilarious, made from 91-95 I think, 3 series
