TouchWiz was a user interface developed by Samsung Electronics Co., Ltd with partners, featuring a full touch user interface. It is sometimes incorrectly referred to as an operating system. TouchWiz is used internally by Samsung for smartphones, feature phones and tablet computers, and is not available for licensing by external parties. The Android version of TouchWiz also comes with the Samsung-made app store Galaxy Apps (Galaxy Store). It was replaced by Samsung Experience in 2017 with the release of Android 7.1.1 “Nougat”.
Samsung Experience was a software overlay for the Android "launcher" by Samsung for its Galaxy devices running Android 7.x “Nougat” and Android 8.x “Oreo”. It was introduced in late 2016 on a beta build based on Android 7.0 “Nougat” for the Galaxy S7, succeeding TouchWiz. It has been succeeded by One UI based on Android 9 “Pie” and later versions.
One UI was designed as part of a goal to make Samsung's hardware and software "work together in perfect harmony" and provide a more "natural" experience on large-screen smartphones. One UI displays most of the features that were in the Samsung Experience UX. A prominent design pattern in many of Samsung's system applications is to intentionally place common features and user interface elements along the middle of the screen rather than near the top. This makes them easier to reach with a user's thumb when using the device one-handed. For similar reasons, apps utilise large headers to push their main content towards the vertical centre of the screen. The navigation bar supports the use of gestures and the usual 3-button system, while a system-wide "night mode" was also added (which gives UI elements and supported applications a darkened color scheme). As with Android Pie upstream, the Overview screen of recent apps uses a horizontal layout, as opposed to the vertical layout of previous versions.

One ui changes everything
Agreed
and makes the whole phone unusable
@@EduPintilie Did you get your Samsung from AliExpress???
@@EduPintilieAre you mad??? One ui is way better than ios in term of productivity and you can actually do stuff without much restriction.
@@kyordannydelvalle523 no i said samsung experience is better
I love the seamlessness between hardware and software in One Ui
Absolutely great
@@thegreatesttechnologies I love that instead of some random curviness it matches the phone
Yeah IMO Samsung started turning things around software wise around the time of moving away from "TouchWiz" to "Samsung Experience" (introduced with Android 7). Then it's just gotten better and better with each new version of OneUI.
Samsung Experience has the best app icons in my opinion.
Yes, I agree
Me too. I loved it soon it changed no🙄
I think Samsung should bring S Beam, Driving mode, Smart Stay, Smart Scroll and Air Gesture back. Really they were nice.
touchwize home4.0 is the first time I use Samsung, until now I still choose Samsung
Samsung is great, just needs some improvements, like Improve battery quality (extend battery life), popularization of Snapdragon version in the whole world.
Is TouchWiz
Well in Budget M series they give either 5000 or 6000 mAH battery@@thegreatesttechnologies
OneUI really brought a needed change.
Very much. I remember how truly awful the random lagging was on the early generation Galaxy S line. Esp the "TouchWiz" days. Felt like things really started turning around with "Samsung Experience" then esp OneUI. And OneUI has only gotten better and better.
Seeing Touchwize home 5.0 again gave me nostalgia feelings
I like it But i hate The Stupid ONE UI CORE
i miss samsung experience. 😭😭😭
SAME
0:29 only tfs players know
TouchWhiz Home Nature 1.0. Such memories. Came with the Galaxy S III, my first samsung and second smart phone. Had every other sansung through the S21 Ultra before moving on.
Early TouchWize Nature is so nostalgic to me
samsung experience 9.5
look wise super
TouchWiz 5.1 was best. I miss it😢
The first Samsung phone I used had Touchwiz 5.1. I'm still using samsung right now
Experience ui The Iconic
Doubtlessly, I'd rather touchwiz name than One UI, it has more history and is more particular and unique. The other one sounds more generic.
Touchwiz had a negative stigma about being clunky and full of bloatware so they had to ditch it
" it has more history and is more particular and unique"
That history isn't very good. My main phone has been a Galaxy S since the first generation. The first few generations of Samsung phones (and Android in general but esp samsung) had horrible, random lag. Where the phone would just stop responding to inputs randomly for 3-4 seconds at a time. I remember custom ROM's that helped the issue a bit. But it wasn't till around "Samsung Experience" the software side of things started to meaningfully improve (performance wise, not just a new coat of paint). And since OneUI 1.0 the random lag thing has been gone.
Idk why but i prefer Samsung Experience than One UI, the icons goes hard
Samsung Needs To Bring Back TouchWiz Nature UX
Who Agrees With Me
Bring Back TouchWiz
Bring Back TouchWiz
Bring Back TouchWiz
Bring Back TouchWiz
Bring Back TouchWiz
Bring Back TouchWiz
Bring Back TouchWiz
Man I remember the days of "TouchWiz" on the first generation Galaxy S (sold under a few dif names here in the US with minor differences depending on carrier, I had AT&T so it was the "Samsung Captivate"). I quickly fell in love with the openness of Android compared to the iPhone I had switched from (last iPhone I had, was a 4S). But good lord did the early Android phones have performance issues. I remember their being some jailbreaking thing I did, and their were all these different ROM's you could pick from that all claimed to improve performance in different ways. By performance I mainly mean the horrible, awful, stuttering. For the first several generations of Galaxy phones (had each one) the random lag and just complete lack of responsiveness out of nowhere was crazy. We're talking 3+ seconds of the phone just not reacting to anything you do. I remember it noticeably improving around the S6 generation. I'd say ever since around the time when Samsung started switching away from "TouchWiz" to the "Samsung Experience" skin introduced with Android 7, it started improving massively. And I'd say since "OneUI" has been gone completely and Samsung's UX and many of their features (like secure folder, smart switch backup, the theme engine, creating your own themes with "theme park" app etc) are why I love Samsungs phones. I don't care that I get the latest version of Android a bit later than the Pixel line because 9 times out of 10 the list of features new to base Android have been part of OneUI for quite a while. I've never experienced it on my Note 20 Ultra 5G, or my S10+ before it. Same time when Samsung also upgraded the "fit and finish" or feel of their phones from mostly plastic to metal and glass. Yes we lost the removeable batteries. Though what annoys me far more than that or even the headphone jack going aways is Samsung removing the MicroSD card now. A surprising number of apps will take advantage of a MicroSD card if you have one. UA-cam Premium for example and it's download feature, will let you set it to save videos to the SDcard, same with Netflix, HBO Max and other streaming services. Same with the podcast app I use (tell it to auto download episodes to the SD card). Samsung's "Smart Switch" backup and transfer app will let you create a full system backup, including app data to the SD card. So you can fully restore your phone to exactly how you like using the backup, all without ever hooking the phone up to a PC (otherwise you'll need to use the Windows app to create and restore from backups).
I just love one ui
I don't know why, i actually prefer the look of the Samsung Experience compared to OneUI. It looks pretty and has character. Reminds me when i first got a Note 8 back when it was new. OneUI to me, looks pretty generic.
Agree
Agree. and Optimization wasn't bad either.
and cant believe i use many samsung options
using touchwiz 4.0 and touchwize home 5.0
one ui 2.5 and one ui 5
Great
TouchWiz 1.0 and 2.0 is not based on Android. But since TouchWiz 3.0 is using Android until current OneUI. Since OneUI, it looks more refreshed.
0:29 Brings back sooo much memories...
Samsung should bring back Samsung experience
wow what nostalgia
been using since touchwiz home 4.0 on note 1 till now s23 ultra one ui 6
My favorite is TouchWiz Home Nature 1.0
I didn't know *grace UX* existed I only knows *Samsung experience* *TouchWiz* and *One UI*
It was released with the Galaxy Note7
@@thegreatesttechnologiesThat was unfortunate.
@@Isaac-gh5ku It was a great device
@@thegreatesttechnologiesif it hadn't exploded, it would have dominated the phone of the year
@@thegreatesttechnologiesYep. I was so bummed when Samsung pulled the whole line and I went to return mine.
TouchWiz 3.0 ❤
After TouchWiz I went to iPhone.
Back to One UI 5, awaiting One UI 6, can't wait!!
I got both iPhone 15 Pro Max and Galaxy S23 Ultra, I'm really loving my S23U way more than iPhone. I use my Samsung on a daily basis as my main phone again. But I do use my iPhone for my documents and video shooting. Galaxy has a superior camera, iPhone has the better video quality. But my S23U goes 2.5 days with battery with moderate usage, while my iphone gets 2.5 days battery with little to no use. And love how the S23U got 45W charging where Apple maxes out at 25W. I'm always near a charger anyway so faster speeds dont mean much to me cos if I need to charge my phones, I charge one in the morning and one in the afternoon and they get up to 100% before my route ends, I just like when I'm at home and when I have to charge my phones I know my S23U got that 1 hour charge as opposed to iPhone 2 hour charge (plus overheating) lol whereas my S23U doesn't overheat.
Two powerhouse devices, I rely on both. They both serve their purposes in my life and I will continue to use both. Last samsung I had was the S7 now I got the S23U, BIG changes from what I last remember.
A glow up.
You misspelled TouchWiz to TouchWize
TouchWiz Nature 1.0 ❤😢
TouchWiz 5.1 looking kinda like Experience
One UI is actually one reason I want to get a Samsung phone and ditch my iPhone
From touchWize home 3.0 to one ui 5.1 here🤭

What is "TouchWize"? its TouchWiz
It should have stayed as Tocuhwiz and had Touch UI and it would have been a legendary reference to the past. I didn't like this interface very much.
u do know that touchwiz UI has been branded as the worst UI ryt? lol 😂
Experience 8.1-9.5 the best
I have One Ui 2.5
TouchWiz ❌
TouchWize ✔️
i take onui for granted
One ui on samsung galaxy note 9
Grace UX was the best😢
make motorola
It's crazy how beautiful lollipop looked and then samsung said nah and vomited out the ugly UI for marshmallow
One UI doesn't change anything
"TouchWize" 💀
Touchwiz*
Where is bada
Bada is it's own OS, not Android. From Wikipedia.
"Bada is a discontinued mobile operating system developed by Samsung Electronics for devices such as mid- to high-end smartphones and tablet computers. All phones running Bada were branded with the name Wave, unlike Samsung's Android devices which are branded as Galaxy."
As of TouchWize Home 5.1 Samsung started making ugly squircles
One ui is way better
TouchWiz*
⚁uvu
One ui is shite
