I think he’s saying that because the lock was so early they weren’t going to drop Gen at all and it probably wasn’t even an option. However, when the date got extended that’s when they started exploring things. I do think they should’ve told him tho
the roster lock thing does make sense, if the lock was Earlier they'd have played champs with Gen then made the decision but because ALGS moved the Lock then Hal and Zer0 decided to make a Decision then, the whole thing Gen said about "come tell me you might Change me out" maybe they thought if it doesn't work out that they can change then Gen's mental might be chalked going into champs because he knows they don't want to play with him end of the day it was just a bad situation. how Hal explained it that they were trying to dot the i's and cross the t's in terms of orgs(Falcons and Moist) because of Contracts and Buyouts makes sense imo Yes Gen not having long to find a team sucks, but if the Business stuff Hal mentioned they were trying to cover their bases on took that time then they can't help that much the ending comments about "the Contracts for other champs teams were already locked in" also makes it sound like he's more salty to not be on an Org team with a Salary than actually getting dropped
Dayumn, this is straight up high school drama, but in apex. Anyways, time to wait for the next episode of hal reacting to gen reacting to hal reacting to gen. 😂

If this happened on TSM back when he was the one person everything was built around, then he would have been to blame. That person is Zer0 in this situation.
Ofc he got f*cked over, he doesnt have any leverage when teams know he got kicked. Specially when it happend last minute and teams have their roster locked.
I have never watched Hal. I am not defending him because I like him. If he expected roster lock to be a week after Germany he probably thought they wouldn't have time to drop him at all.
that's basically not true. First, one week after LAN is def not enough for any team to drop anyone, what's the point of giving the opportunity for teams to change rosters in the first place? There's no way the roster lock was one week terminal, especially right after LAN.
@@y0gurt193 No part of your comment makes sense. Your opinion has nothing to do with what I said. What the fuck do you mean "what's the point of giving the opportunity for teams to change rosters in the first place?"??? They change rosters because their current one isn't working what do you mean??? It literally was set for a week after ALGS, why do you think no other pro is calling Hal out on this point? Because it was true.
@@cyarutchiii it was you who said that there's no time to drop gen if the roster lock was one week right after LAN. My point is that the roster lock could never be at that time because if there's no time for someone to get dropped, what's the point of this lock?
@@cyarutchiii even if the roster lock was indeed at that time, there will definitely be enough time for a team roster to change, because there's no way that ALGS set up a roster lock that make any roster change impossible to hapen in time.
@@y0gurt193 no I didn't. I said "if he was under the impression..." Also, as you would know if you watched the video, Gen was bought out of a contract which is why it takes way longer to confirm whether the org will allow him to be dropped. Most other people, like Phony, aren't bought out of a contract and can be dropped without much hassle.
The fact that hal could have messed it up "worse" in that hypothetical situation by telling him a day before doesn't mean hal and zer0 didn't mess it up 6 days before, whether it was intentional or not. And it was timmy who told Gen 6 days before. So how can you take credit for THAT? What kind of flawed logic is hal trying to use here? That isn't going to work.
Dude, they didn't wanna talk to gen because they thought that falcons where not gonna do gens Visa. But he also said that they had to ask falcon about dropping gen first. Didn't he just contradict himself or did falcons already got gen his visa at that time.
Not really, the initial plan was to wait for visas before telling Gen, but the visas were taking too long. That forced their hand in just telling Falcons because roster lock was approaching
Gen is good but he died first A LOT in lan. Hal’s saying it’s not performance is actually just being kind to his former teammate and not fucking over his future. Waltzy is so fucking good and was clutching up a lot in Mst. I honestly think this super team will be super super.
Gen looking best in this situation no matter how you spin it. The biggest L is now Zero and Hal have even more pressure to win. Got rid of the "problem" right?
To be honest, Hal can't explain here. The person who really should stand up and explain all this is pretending to be dead, so now it seems that the conflict is between Gen and Hal. Zero, who really did this, never said a word from beginning to end, and then asked Hal to bear the pressure of public opinion. Of course, Hal also did it.
Based on the limited info: Hal could've handled this better, but it's not really his fault. He got suckered into the being the middleman between Gen and Zer0. Gen trusted he would get info from the team for too long when he probably could've been more aggressive in trying to get communication from all parties. Zer0 is probably the snake here, but there's no true way to know. We as outside observers will never truly know the details.
Gen shouldnt have had to be any more aggressive in getting info, as a member of the team even if he asks nothing, the rest of the team hold a responsibility to tell Gen big changes like that
@@maeonion I agree. Gen absolutely should not have to be more aggressive. However, when it's my career at stake, you bet I'm pestering people. i can’t believe Hal is getting so much heat as if he didn’t come on as the 3rd & join them. Why is the “new guy” at the center and you aren’t talking to your oldest teammate 😭
because he himself put himself at the center.
Most of the people who pay attention to this stuff are 12 year olds with extreme bias. They wanna blame him
Apex pros try to actually talk to their teammates Challenge: IMPOSSIBLE 99.99% Fail.
All breaks up are the same lol
“he said, I said, that’s not what happen, you don’t understand ” 🙃
Hal and Zer0 should’ve been transparent that they were even considering any change as a team. Hal knew they were and should’ve been honest and open with Zer0 from the start. Nobody here is innocent and that’s okay, you can still like them; but you can’t play the “good guy” card everytime for Hal. (And especially not for Zer0 after this)
the fact that hal has to do damage control for zeros decision while he says nothing really says something
Probably got paid to do it too lmao
Zer0 has his thumb up Hal's ass.
Imo this was zeros call and the fact that he hasnt come on stream(that i know of) and said anything about it really shows zeros character and his ability to be a true leader of the team. Hal isnt the head of this team he was brought in less then a year ago and now is taking the front of this hate for a team that isnt even his. Im not saying hal is a angel here but this was def Zeros call and he needs to take accountability for all of this drama
6:43 might be the funniest part of the whole video 😂😂
Hal says to use your brain to believe him lmao that ain't how brains work
He's always so unwilling to admit any culpability
Way too old to be so immature
i hope all the best for gen actually a good lad
the irony in hal saying that when he’s legit put his opinion into situations that he himself was not a part of lol, this guy is a joke honestly his fans will continue to say he’s right he’s not wrong but he is he could have just open with gen from the start even if it was zer0s idea hal went along with it could have easily just told gen not to tell falcons i mean if gen had the vibe already wtf is the issue he has a vibe you guys are going to drop him so why worry about the team dynamic if it falls through he already had a feeling
Zero is probably having some kind of pill comedown.
I felt so bad when Evan talked trash about Hal, but after seeing what he did to Gen. All i can say is Hal truly deserve it.
What do you people be talking about just wanting to hate.
You didn't watch it clearly. Hal got stuck in the middle of this, its between zero and gen😂
@@brandondean5680 yeah i heard the hal rant how he was talking about org and visa problems dude this mf could have told his friend informly that he was being dropped and that he should be prepared that what friends do so he was def trying to look himself better and he is a rat
@@brandondean5680makes too much sense, but don’t tell that to theses kids 😂
@@youknowwhoiam6164 The bronze kids see hals name automatically jump on the hate train. It's the only thing they can do since they can't get past bronze
I miss the old Hal that had never touched a woman & had a bowl haircut and a hunch back. That was peak apex when he was on M&K
actually makes sense the first point, we all thought ALGS was going to be on november/december as always, and it s on february
Zer0 the fuckin snake. Thisnkinda stuff could be expected by ahal but for zero to play with gen for so long and not have enough respect for him to let him know whats going on
Hal living long enough to become the villain
Imperialhal gaslighting like crazy
that was really fucked, cuz as a friend you would at least give a heads up that was going to happen. Like it was probably not about wanting to fuck gen over, but it's like not giving a shit
Gen new ceo
5:22 that was my immediate first thought was why didn't they let him know but keep it on the down low until things they were worried about went through? Snakes dude. Snakes.
See? How hard is it to just come up and tell him and explain the context.
This is the equivalent of being mad at a coworker instead of the boss for firing you lol
Bro Hal taking all the heat for zeros decisions 💀
6:55 This was the moment I wanted to hear. Did not disappoint.
We should all agree that some pros are just only good at the game, not necessarily good at being a person.
Gen is so lucky he got a team. Imagine if he didn't. Wow.
Hal goes through teams like Dellor goes through keyboards.
7:38 Yes Philip we absolutely do believe that
Man Gen is such a fucking dope dude. Bless up wish you the best
So hal if timmy wasn't such a stand up guy and told him, then when was you two losers gonna tell him hmmmmm you literally was gonna wait til he couldn't get a team
Imperialhal try not to burn bridges challenge: Impossible
respect to gen for being mature about the whole thing, you don't see that too often in the apex scene lol
I like Gen. dude knows he making boatloads of money and won his trophies he the only one chillin being a real one about everything
Damn and just like that can even fk with Hal & zero… great apex players, god awful teammates lol where’s the compassion & respect for their mate
I think Gen doesn’t understand what Hal meant by ALGS changing roster lock dates. I think he’s saying that because the lock was so early they weren’t going to drop Gen at all and it probably wasn’t even an option. However, when the date got extended that’s when they started exploring things. I do think they should’ve told him tho
this is gens hero arc story. we ready.
the roster lock thing does make sense, if the lock was Earlier they'd have played champs with Gen then made the decision but because ALGS moved the Lock then Hal and Zer0 decided to make a Decision then,
the whole thing Gen said about "come tell me you might Change me out" maybe they thought if it doesn't work out that they can change then Gen's mental might be chalked going into champs because he knows they don't want to play with him end of the day it was just a bad situation.
how Hal explained it that they were trying to dot the i's and cross the t's in terms of orgs(Falcons and Moist) because of Contracts and Buyouts makes sense imo
Yes Gen not having long to find a team sucks, but if the Business stuff Hal mentioned they were trying to cover their bases on took that time then they can't help that much
the ending comments about "the Contracts for other champs teams were already locked in" also makes it sound like he's more salty to not be on an Org team with a Salary than actually getting dropped
Dayumn, this is straight up high school drama, but in apex. Anyways, time to wait for the next episode of hal reacting to gen reacting to hal reacting to gen. 😂
At this point I don't even care who was in the wrong, the amount of drama and jeopardy this will bring to Champs will make it the most exciting competitive has been in a while
Hal being a terrible person to Verhulst, and now a terrible person to Gen???
Guys, I'm starting to see a pattern here
Rly? Since the time with Mac and Snipe was the same behavior.
@@LeMimePugSnipe has no issues with Hal and Mac said he was in the wrong. Hal is definitely partly responsible this time but Zero is the #1 problem
Props to Reps for having nerves of steel but Verhulst not being able to handle Hal’s toxicity is totally understandable. I like TSM right now so healthy
@@renzbay123did you just now start watching TSM play through yt shorts ? Verhulst was spitting fire back at him when he was acting like a little girl not even that long after joining ☠️
@@LeMimePugdude is literally chill with both of them and evan what are we on about
Falcons full blown bad guys arch
Everyone has been hating on Hal for years when he's one of the most rational Apex players. . . . Praying on the W of Falcons
This is on Zer0. He is being a shit leader. Hal is taking all the heat because he actually speaks on things, is more famous and frankly there are SO many that just need anything to hate him for. If this happened on TSM back when he was the one person everything was built around, then he would have been to blame. That person is Zer0 in this situation.
When it comes to apex I don’t wanna hear no talk about superteam no more. Also lol when gen said what did he say??😮
Loved Wxltzy, but cannot support him anymore. Fk Falcons, I hope they continue to play like absolute sht
Damn, apparently they will be milking this drama till Champs
Hal didn’t even fucking tell him. TIMMY DID
Ofc he got f*cked over, he doesnt have any leverage when teams know he got kicked.
I said "if he was under the impression..."
Also, as you would know if you watched the video, Gen was bought out of a contract which is why it takes way longer to confirm whether the org will allow him to be dropped.
I honestly think this super team will be super super.
super teams in video games are not real
ALGS is slowly turning into WWE lmao
Gen looking best in this situation no matter how you spin it. The biggest L is now Zero and Hal have even more pressure to win. Got rid of the "problem" right?
when zero start streaming i hope you guys have the same energy
To be honest, Hal can't explain here. The person who really should stand up and explain all this is pretending to be dead, so now it seems that the conflict is between Gen and Hal. Zero, who really did this, never said a word from beginning to end, and then asked Hal to bear the pressure of public opinion. Of course, Hal also did it.
ditching gen is gonna come back to haunt them
Based on the limited info:
Hal could've handled this better, but it's not really his fault. He got suckered into the being the middleman between Gen and Zer0.
Gen trusted he would get info from the team for too long when he probably could've been more aggressive in trying to get communication from all parties.
Zer0 is probably the snake here, but there's no true way to know.
We as outside observers will never truly know the details.
all we can see is that hal is a shit person even when he was in TSM and Zer0 is too, thats all what we can see
@@Grimelreaper 😂 get out of your feelings bro, at the end of the day it was business not personal
In the real world, people don't like to do the things they "should" be doing. You can only actually control what you yourself do. Never trust work colleagues to help you out. They are not your friends. EVER. When there is money involved, friendship means nothing. You are merely a piece of the puzzle, and when you aren't a piece of the puzzle anymore... you're competition.
@@pinchofseasalt exactly it’s a business, I don’t think these kids understand that. You’re only owe the money for the tournament you played while under contract that’s it, they definitely don’t pay you to place 20th, that’s like a football team placing very last and not expecting there to be changes next season
