some of the people below knocking stems , seriously try it out . adds new dimensions at the push of a buton . even on an S4 mk2 you can get so creative at the touch of one button. endless new possibilities for mixes . fast easy efficient - just need lots more tracks to be available in stem format for traktor . hours of fun ;-)
Awesome guys! Can't wait to get started with this. Have some doubts though how its possible to get the same sounding result from mixdown stemfiles compared to the final master done professionally most of the times.
A massive step fwd for producers & DJ's. Can we export a 16 or 32 bar loop and have the stem file on seem-less loop playback? For playing minimal techno say?
when i play it (not in traktor)i miss the kick (drums) file.I meen i hear the ytrack without the kick. What am i doing wrong? In the creator i hear everything.
So where does the file export to? There's no option to choose where it goes. I've exported twice and can't find the file name, nor any stem.mp4 files. What on earth...?
As a producer, is this software compatible with FL Studio as well? I may be wrong here, but it looked to me like Stems took the tracks from Ableton automatically, so will it do the same if I have 4 instruments in FL?
PRODUCER QUESTION USING SOMEONE ELSES STEM TRACK: Can you import (not me as the producer, someone else's stem track that I bought on beatport) into a DAW then bounce the 4 sounds out of the track, then with the 4 sounds create more of a "remix" sound and then bounce back out of the DAW as a little remix type sound to use when your dj'ing? OR is that more of a copyright issue? * hope I explained myself properly*
Obviously you need to get each stem through proper mastering chain to match the original stereo master. Stem Creator is still a good tool for the final edit and adding meta data.
If you live in the U.K and have a DJ licence, if you DJ publicly you're supposed to have one and they cost around £200, will Stems be allowed by law? I think I read a clause where DJs are not allowed to remix live!
Surely its better to Master your original Daw based tune with plug ins on the master Buss and then bounce that down and then bounce down each `stem that you want from that tune whilst it`s also going through the Master buss. No need to mess about afterwards ( well perhaps a tiny bit as a single track through the Masterbuss may behave slightly differently in isolation ) Simples
Hate this kind of shot 0:23 when he's looking/talking to other place... what's the functionality? It seems to be with a blind. This is a tutorial, don't need "visuals artistics fads", imo.
Full scale = very loud? OMG! Ever heard of RMS or LUKFS? Summing up files at -3dBFS individually will be enough to hit 0 dBFS, won't it? Is that the mindset of DJs?
Gfdddfffse eu não vou mentir eu não fuçando vini e vestisse colocar teve que visavam umaestá por chadu e eu buscar A união e que os capoeira você que ou o e mamãe está is tupis.
yes again 12min wasted on my life. Seriously why wouldn't anyone then just not stay on Ableton and use an APC? Cause it has to much faders to handle? On another note for those who wouldn't use Ableton. Why wouldn't you not simply use the loop and beat juggle function and hot cue in Traktor / remix decks?

If the 4 stem files are all near 0db full scale will it distort when played back in Traktor ?
+Ed Solo Have them all a bit below that just to be safe. Especially since the stem tool has a boost on it anyway.

+Fullonfunkofficial
good point. the sum of the stems does not make the final^^
hi awesome tutorial thankx, what is the name of this software or app,
A massive step fwd for producers & DJ's. Can we export a 16 or 32 bar loop and have the stem file on seem-less loop playback? For playing minimal techno say?
thank you for the useful video, but in case there is PAD and CHORDS included in the song, how can I load them since there is not slot?
when i play it (not in traktor)i miss the kick (drums) file.I meen i hear the ytrack without the kick. What am i doing wrong?
In the creator i hear everything.
Nevermind it works as a charm in Traktor
the individual WAV files have to be 16bit or 24bit?
aritomiblog Both is possible.
thanks

What software or hardware can translate that stem file into stems?
It isn't working on macOS Monterrey. It exports until 3-4% and then stops

so can i put a tune in and it puts it in to stems
It appears that you use a midi/audio application first ( such as Ableton ) to create the files and then import those audio files into Stems.
(Audio file unreadable plase check your file and try again) it gives a warning please help
so now the dj is the co producer and remixer. what will they think of next?

I'm not getting the PSD file when I create my Stems file.

Excellent explanation thank you!
Good stuff, Chad! Thank you!
export fails in 3%, can you help me?

This is just as much work as making your own track :P
This tool is amazing !!
where to download?
it works with logic too doesn't it?
where the down load????
it looks really useless to me. Why export from a daw to it? U can do the same on Ableton or Cubase, Protools etc...

Esto es lo que yo busco

How to make a stem:
Step 1)Bounce your stem.
Done. No need for any other software or hardware you don't already have. This is totally a scam.
At least it's free, so it's only a scam for your time and hard drive space.
+Drag
+
Their website doesn't even have a working download link lol
Full scale = very loud? OMG!
Ever heard of RMS or LUKFS?
Summing up files at -3dBFS individually will be enough to hit 0 dBFS, won't it?
Is that the mindset of DJs?
Awesome!
jesus christ! i just wanna drag a song from iTunes and get it converted, to then drag that file to traktor to make some sick stem mixes.
Awesome
Anybody else annoyed by the Ant like antenna coming out of his head?
Is his name Anthony?
All that to get a final.... mp4 file. WTF
wheeeee!
Gfdddfffse eu não vou mentir eu não fuçando vini e vestisse colocar teve que visavam umaestá por chadu e eu buscar A união e que os capoeira você que ou o e mamãe está is tupis.
actually theres is a difference between master and stems. bass more alive in mastered version.
que p
This can all be done inside of a DAW.
