Mercedes-Benz - The Shape of Perfection

The exhibition celebrates the extraordinary history, pioneering design, exclusive individuality and unsurpassed quality of the brands Mercedes-Benz and Steinway & Sons, whose common history can be traced back to the year 1888. It invites visitors to enjoy the interplay of the two brands in an exclusive concert atmosphere on three stages. A composition for three pianos pays homage to the three fascinating exhibits of unmistakable, perfect design: the Steinway grand piano, the legendary "Gullwing", and the new-generation SL-Class from Mercedes-Benz. Each exhibit is represented by one of the three pianos. The music, composed by Oliver Heise and Daniel Vulcano, was performed on Steinway D-274 concert grand pianos by official Steinway artists Kristjan Randalu, Andreas Jetter, and Hanny Kam. The exhibition celebrated its grand opening in the new Mercedes-Benz Dealership in Peking. From 2010, it will tour through Europe. Photos: Andreas Keller
