Just started playing this in January, absolutely love it. I've dumped hours into it. Bought d2 yesterday and gonna crank into that now that there is a new season. Solid looking build.
That's great, but sad you did not experience the prime of either game. Although we are expecting some form of new content in the coming months for D2, Hopefully if/when there is a third game you will be a day one agent... Not that I normally support day one games, but for the Division I make an exception. Anyway there is a lot to learn with stats and stuff so if you need any knowledge I am pretty sure I got something on my channel to help.
@@mutantcowboy7341 yeah sad I missed out because it was on my radar when it was revealed and I was excited but when I saw it was scaled back from its initial reveal I was hesitant to jump on day 1. Also it sounded more grinding for gear than I was into but I dig it now. I'll check out the other videos, thanks
Long time Div 2 player here. I had never played Div 1 when it released but I love Div 2 so over the Xmas / New Years holidays here I finally decided to hop in and play through it. Been having a good time for sure. It's been interesting figuring out the ways that the builds and gearing differ from Div 2. Also loving finally seeing the full story and characters that have only lightly been touched on with part 2. The early game isn't as empty as you seem to fear though because every time I hit up a safe house in the leveling zones there are always one or two other low level players in them doing just what I am. Now of course those may be alts but it means that there are still people doing their thing here not just in endgame. I love to play shield builds as well so I'm very glad to find this thorough video that you have done here. It's going to be fun to see if I can get something like this put together for myself once I make it to that point in the game. Thanks for the build idea. XD
How do you like the first game compared to the second. Have you had any "why did they remove this?" or "why did they change this?" moments yet? Glad you are finding people around... I know the game is not 100% dead, still players around. Just depends on the time and day. Compared to 2016 though it feels so empty, especially the DZ. I mostly play solo so it is not a big deal for me but many people need or want to play in a group, and they do very often have trouble if not lucky with the time they can play.
Thanks for this dude. I went back and trying to enhance the build I had. I didn't have the undertanding back then but with over 7k+ hours on one character for Division 2, let's just say, I know enough.
D1 is truly the way the Division should be. Sad it never got the life support it needed while D2 is supported despite it being a serious downgrade in my opinion.
I started playing division 1 again about a month ago because my son decided to start a character, and there's a surprising number of people still playing the game.
I don't like to sugar coat and I feel gross saying something just for clicks. I am here because I love the franchise not because I want to be UA-cam famous.
Alot of people have been going back to the first game because they didn't like the 2nd in comparison, I'd bet that alot of people who never played the first game have gone back and been shocked at how much better the first game is
I’ve popped on every now and then and still get groups on my low level characters. It’s usually 1 or 2 people, but they’re still checking it out. I need to dust off my main though and check out his Frontline D3FNC build. It was just shy of being where I wanted it before I started division 2. This was also my favorite build for PvE/PvP too.
I loved fighting pred builds, even before they got nerfed, with this. I actually want to go back and try out some different things. Which is good because I have nothing else to play at the moment :D
Yeah it saddens me to think about D1 being screwed over by massive. They sold millions of copies and true to form 2 weeks later started a sequel that made the franchise worse... Maybe Resurgence will renew life in D1.
I have recently restarted Div 1 with a new character, and now have started getting my first pieces of classified gear, my only six piece set so far is Deadeye, but i'm working on it
Just leveled up to 26...will get to 30 this week...solo grinding isn't as engaging so its taken a bit longer than wanted....will finally try the last stand and survival...something truly missing from div2
@@mutantcowboy7341 Absolutely....Anything that gets the community active means Im on board...especially since div2 pvp is on life support, especially the dz's
I jumped back on div1 the other day, leveled a character to 30 then realized the game was over...there was no world tier progression needed...just go to the stash and become a god. Was fun playing back thru it all again tho. (I deleted the character right after) If you haven't, maybe try the Midas with your D3, compliments the set nicely....and you finally have a reason to use the Midas lol
I am actually planning on farming up the world tiers. I want to do it all fresh. I doubt I will try to farm everything, but I want to get a set or two of classy gear... need a new sentry build anyway since I deleted all mine in a gear purge years ago.... that sounds funny to say :D
@@mutantcowboy7341 I did give the tier climb a thought, but im weak and would've eventually given in and grabbed something from the stash, be it a wep or just the ninja bag...but still, I would've ended up cheesing it. Gear purges are def a thing lol there were times I'd get so sick of not having room id just blindly delete my entire stash, then cuss myself a cpl days later when I realized I lost a few pcs to a loadout lol gave me reason to grind more I guess.
@@brassbat Well I am hoping to make a small series on the gear grind and progression for new comers. So just picking up stash inventory is not gunna work :D
Would love to show you my build one they, got striker with 2 identical lightweight m4s 8k FA and gun talents focused on recharging ult and keepping the ult while using the ult, basivally my ult is always active or available
Honestly I was never a big fan of striker. Much of it is because it became the must have youtuber pvp meta build back in the day. That and I really play more for the skill side of things. Many of the other sets just felt more my style and I was happy with them. Glad you found a way to have some fun with it though.
@@mutantcowboy7341 Im not a PVP guy and yes, i feel most people use striker that way. My striker is 4k eletronics so i think i got the other way around.
Ok, so I'm going to be that guy.... I hope you hear me out first. I good to go on div 2. I played div 1 long before I got into div 2. The way it's set up as far as " builds" go, it a bit confusing. I'm not level 30 on it at the moment, I was at 30, but my save got corrupted when my old box took a crap on me. 1.) Do you have a video to help explain a proper way to make a build?? 2.) I play solo ( my dz level is higher than my LZ level. ) 3.) Just as important as any other, thank you for the content you put out. Even though I'm almost level 30, I'm not that far into the game, what are the types of builds you can make??
I am actually fully focused on playing New World at the moment.... However The game is not that much different than Division 2. Firearms for weapons, and Skill power for skills, etc. Thing to remember, until you get to 30 and are actually using longer lasting gear there is no need to really make a build. Just focus on having good main stats and push through the content. I beat my fresh run last month at level 26 with level 24 and lower gear on, while fighting level 28 enemies... There is no sense in farming gear that will be outdated after you gain 2 levels. If you really need better gear use the DZ vendors and farm some DZ credits. I try to invest in all three stats equally so I do damage, have heals, and can take a few bullets. I like skill power, skill haste, damage to armor, damage to elites, ammo capacity, and AR damage on gloves. But honestly most of the time I was just using random gear drops. Depending on time I might be able to make some more videos in the future, but not sure when.
Hmmm my first thought is maybe you have some form of color correction issue with your display or maybe you are using a color blind mode? If not that are you using the classified gear? The regular gear is colored differently I think. But as for me doing anything, nope just the standard color.
It is for sure one of my top 3 favorite sets, tons of options and fine tuning to do on it. A lot of others invested more into crit and damage, but I always liked just tanking the crap out of things with massive defense.
I always liked the slower RPM weapons in D1, mostly that was because back when it launched ammo capacity mattered and having more damage per bullet had value. Too much ammo ruined a lot of the games selection in my opinion. So I am just stubborn and refuse to adjust :D
I have d3 build with 9k stamina but it's more focused on damage but I works in solo and is top 3 in the game in team pvp and it's just as good in pve and I was able to solo falcon lost but in my opinion d1 is better than d2 tbh
My most used gear was Tactician or D3 classy, but I used Reclaimer and Firecrest a lot too. However I would say Striker or Nomad are going to be the best for gun focused players. In the DZ I loved Deadeye... but I am not sure if the PVP really exists anymore.

nice intro and build tired of people saying the game is dead and to play something else when all the new games are buggy and unplayable with a declining player base 😂
Sorry for taking so long.... been an interesting month... The House is maybe the best slot for most SMG builds, but that is also a big reason I avoid it. I like diversity a bit more than power. Honestly though the biggest reason I use the PP-19 is the length of time I can fire. In PVP people like to run in circles and try to time your reload before shooting back. The PP just keeps firing and messes them up plus the talent i have gives me reload speed for crits so it makes it even better. In PVE i find that, because of the slower firing speed, I hit my target more often and worry less about running out of ammo.
