My Falcon runs like a bucket of s**t after driving the length of Australia (Cairns to Perth plus a few weeks of detours/exploring), the turbo idea is the only thing keeping me from selling it! Randomly stalls a few times a week (after doing all the sensors, pump etc), and my fuel tank leaks when you fill it over half way...plastic tanks can't handle being filled on a 45 degree day in the NT. In truth I might end up with a Territory and do the turbo swap on it haha. I'm actually very very curious to see how the turbo goes and what figures you can make on the NA 4-speed box. I have the same but been contemplating a box-out overhaul!
Already done , Sx Territory Ghia Fg motor and Na manifold and plasmaman territory intercooler kit ( highly recommend it ! ) 440 rwhp on 14 psi ( turbo rods and pistons on 98 ) . Lot of hard work !
Hey mate, I did a turbo conversion on my BA ute. The flash tune caused havoc for me throwing TPS errors. Ended up witha full tune. At that time also put in a boost T with a 7 pound spring to control wastegate. Ended up running 8psi and 320 RWHP. Fun daily.

Awesome work brownie 🤙 I'm very interested and looking forward to future videos to see how it goes, I am pretty much decided I'm going to follow in your advice and turbo my N/A BF 06 ute. As mine is the menace purple colour and prices surging and not looking to come back down I don't even really want to upgrade anymore to an FG. Followed your video on painting a rocker cover and painted a wrecker bought rocker cover the same colour as my car and is looking awesome ready to swap in. As my car is the usual ute spec I need at least a new front and rear bumper and some dings nocked out and aiming for a closed door respray. You have giving me a tone of inspiration to take some pride in my daily and make it something worth being proud of and as I'm very comfortable with the car I don't want to let it go but want to make it live up to the Falcon name with the small steps you are proving do-able, keep up the brilliant work mate and hopefully we can line up at the drags and see what some previously N/A Barras can do👍 Cheers 👌
Hey Brownie love you work mate, just wondering if your looking to sell your exhaust system? i have been in a wheelchair all my life and lover Fords. I have a 05 ba NA and looking to change my exhaust system. Cheers Neville
I tracked down a Turbo 6 factory exhaust system for my FG, big improvement for overall responsiveness, but what i love even on my N/A G6E, it's quiet until you sink your foot into it, and it has a very nice idle too. Brought down my 0-100 times down additionally, more so because it can f**king breathe ! Not sure what the b-series run, but i know the FG's run a 3" dump which splits off into a Y pipe out to a single 2.5" system just before the rear end. Bigger inside diameter mufflers.
Not sure if you have mentioned it in other videos, but are you upgrading any internals? (Rods, valves, valves springs?) If not tho am keen to see what a stock grey top can handle.
Awesome series mate. You're super knowledgeable and concise. You make following along incredibly easy. Just a quick question regarding the ecu flash tune. Is there somewhere in particular you recommend sending it for the tune or will most local tuners have the software to do it? I'm located in Wollongong so lots of tuners around the Sydney area but I was curious if there's a plug and play flash tune to get me on the road? Thanks mate! Keep up the fantastic work!
A lot will do it but of course you have to be a little careful with these things. I'm using Maxx Performance for all of my tuning, but head over to the NA+T falcon group on Facebook and there should be someone closer to you recommended 👍. Thanks for the kind words mate, it's all just a heap of research and then giving it a crack!
@@BrowneysGarage thanks mate! I've had quite a few recommendations for custom machine works. They have a heap of experience with na+t barras so I'm confident it's a good choice. Don't have too much faith in the small allen key head in the studs putting up with any abuse (I hate allen heads, strip out way too easily! At least there's room for the double nut trick if need be) but other than that seems ok so far. Fingers crossed they stay tight longer than the factory bolts.

I'm doing this to an AU Fairmont, I'll only be going for 325 rwkw , I think any more and driveline may need major mods .
Great video mate. Well done
Thank very much mate, appreciate it.
NA and turbo From factory do use a slightly different piston pin and rod even tho they have the same part number
Great vid mate. Enjoying your content
Great work mate, very informative and well researched. Definitely given me some inspiration! 👍
Thanks very much for the kind words mate, and best of luck with your BF - Menace is a great colour!
Indeed been waiting for this one mate!
Let me know if you have any questions on how she goes, I've turbskied a few of these in my time
Appreciate that mate, will do 👍
Mate great video first time viewer loved it keep it up
Thanks very much mate, will do my best! And welcome 👍
Hey Brownie love you work mate,
just wondering if your looking to sell your exhaust system? i have been in a wheelchair all my life and lover Fords. I
have a 05 ba NA and looking to change my exhaust system. Cheers Neville
Hey Neville, sorry mate I think it’s already spoken for. All the best with your BA 👍
I used a mazda 3 map sensor for my bf , the wreckers gave me 2 , direct plug in
What was ya buget for the build mate plan on doing the sons car next year
$3k was the loose goal, haven’t looked recently to tell you how that’s going but will cover in a future ep.
Not sure if you have mentioned it in other videos, but are you upgrading any internals? (Rods, valves, valves springs?) If not tho am keen to see what a stock grey top can handle.
Have mentioned it earlier but all good, engine will be unopened... barring disaster/issues!
Gotta say this is a dope build 👏🏾
Hey mate, just wondering what’s the part number to the map sensor?
All I need now is an exhaust and I can start the conversion! Thanks again so much for your videos mate. Giving people the confidence to jump into it!
@@nsjumper Yep, they're getting a good wrap at the moment! Good luck with it mate and if you get a chance let me know how it all goes 👍
Nice mate👍
Excellent explanation
when are u gonna work on the eb falcon again? also great video
Who said I haven’t been working on it? Haha ok not much has moved on that, and likely won’t see it again until the NA+T series wraps up. Trust me though, I’m very keen to get back into that car too 👍
Cheers mate
@@BrowneysGarage cheers, keep it up 👍
Keen as heck to see it
Nice one bro
In Territory's after November 2009, they changed the coils and plugs. Nothing prior to then will fit the later models.
Great videos mate..I have the same model xr6 turbo and I'm looking to do some improvements to it hopefully on a budget so I am really taking notes and would appreciate any advice. Cheers and keep us learning
Browney, I've been trying to see what tires you run. Can you give the info please mate ??
Great video Browney !!! Whooshes await 👍🍻
Thanks Daniel, have a great Christmas and New Years mate 👍. All the turbo noises coming soon
@@BrowneysGarage cheers mate right back at ya 🍻👍
great video! Thank you
Glad you liked it! Thanks mate 👍
Awesome video mate, how are you finding the titanium studs so far?
Don't have too much faith in the small allen key head in the studs putting up with any abuse (I hate allen heads, strip out way too easily! At least there's room for the double nut trick if need be) but other than that seems ok so far. Fingers crossed they stay tight longer than the factory bolts.
