How to Paddleboard the English Channel - on a Budget

In 2018 I became the first female to solo paddleboard the English Channel. It was a big challenge and it involved lots of research and preparation which, back then, there wasn't any guidance to follow.
A lot of people have been in touch with me in recent months asking for tips / advice and guidance for this challenge, so this video captures a lot of the most common ones to help you plan and prepare for your own adventure. Questions include everything from how to find a safety boat and how it was funded, to the kit I wore and what permissions were needed.

Thanks for taking the time to put together such an informative and inspirational video Lizzie. A big help in answering some of the questions that were rattling around in my head! Planning to try and do this next year (2022) to “celebrate” turning a half century old. Typically do about 40-50k/week at the moment so obviously need to ramp it up a bit! I've only paddle boarded once with a friend a few weeks back so this is all research. That being said I would be up for a channel crossing at some point. Always on the look out for a new challenge.
