Today, Sydney Trains Vlogs turns 10!
10 years ago today i was standing at Sydney Terminal at the end of Platforms 8&9 and decided to start filming a narrated video about Sydney’s Trains.
I then started seeing my subscriber count rise faster than it did when i was doing short form videos.
Since then i have covered so many events and milestones in Sydney’s rail history, i’ve been so many places in Australia and the USA!
I have enjoyed every moment of it and i look forward to seeing the adventures we get up to in the next decade.

Phil - you've come so far it's incredible to think that Sydney Trains Vlogs has been around for a decade! 10 years later, you're up to Vlog 2173! I remember my old routine around 7-8 years ago was to get home from school and watch the latest vlog, even if I've watched it several times lol... I must ask, do you plan on going to 20? Your channel would be in Uni around then!🤣
Thank you for inspiring myself and others for doing what we all love Phil, for as long as trainspotting UA-camr's in Sydney exist, you'll always be known as the legend of trainspotters! Even Father? That'd be a little concerning I must say haha. 😂
If there’s one thing that I think made you one of (if not) the biggest UA-camrs on transport in Sydney would have to be how unique you are with your videos. It was something to look forward to as if there was something going on somewhere in the network, you’d be there.
Anyways Phil, there are soooo many people who look up to you and are heavily inspired by you. Happy 10 years on UA-cam, thank you for inspiring me to pursue my dream. ☺️🎉

Man I’ve been watching you since I was four years old! And I remember waking up everyday and binging your videos and every time a silver set train would appear I would get so excited. I remember watching the entire Vlog Movie you once made in one sitting

Been waiting for this moment for 9 years, a really big congratulations to you. I hope I'm able to meet you sometime as I've wanted to meet you since I was a tiny child, I hope for these next years you'll have some really fun times and I hope for the best for you.
The only reason I'm actually into trains is actually because of you, I found you on my recommended on UA-cam once, the Macquarie Uni video, pretty sure it was vlog 59, and now, I wouldn't know anything about trains or I would barely ride them if it weren't for you. I do want to start a trainspotting channel as a celebration for you hitting 10 years, I hope there's going to be future meet and greets so I can have a great oppotunity to see you.

Hey Phil, it's amazing how much you and your presentation style have evolved in the last 10 years! I remember finding your channel back when I was starting to find a slight interest in trains during primary school and your enthusiasm and dedication towards trains helped fuel my interest since then! Now I'm a university student so I have much more opportunities to travel, and my passion for trains is as strong as ever! Congratulations on consistently pumping out this content for 10 years, hopefully the future will have lots of exciting things ahead.

Congrats on 10 years Phil! Watching the scene at 5:02 reminded me heavily of watching trains with my siblings on the front verandah of my house when we where younger. We affectionately called them "Molly Passenger Trains" coming from the hours of watching Thomas the Tank Engine. That was just one of the many other names we had for different trains such as "Edward Passenger Trains" for Endeavors. Personally, the Hunter Railcar in the cityrail livery will always be remembered as Molly Passenger Trains. And at 7:33, I was reminded of the last time my family caught a train into Newcastle station. I have just one memory of standing somewhere around platform 1 and seeing the driver and guard switching ends of the train. What great memories from this video. I hope others watching this video also remember things from this.

Thank you for your videos. Your videos bring so many memories to me as I was an overseas uni student in Oz 10 years ago. After I graduated I really never had a chance to flew back to Sydney nor Oz. I spent most of my time travelling in the Oscar Set South Coast Line, but my curiousity towards every train as I consider myself as I railfan never stops me to try every train set even I managed to ride the S-Set before they pull out of service.

Happy 10th Anniversary of Sydney Trains Vlogs! I remember being really into your early Vlogs back in 2014, Phil. It was very enjoyable back in my final two years of high school in 2014 and 2015. I even had the privilege to be the very first channel to give you a request of where to Vlog, which was my big moment in your early days of STV. I remember even enjoying you collaborating with Cameron Johnson of Transport for NSW Vlogs along with a few other train vlogging channels like Paul's Train Vlogs. By the way, are you and Cameron still in contact? I know Cameron is a very busy person now hence why he doesn't do train vlogs a lot nowadays.
