I liked Squid Game, but she's not holding a candle to Alice in Borderland. I'm STILL obsessed with the characters in Alice and I can't wait for Season 2. There is so much left to explore and explain.

Well, for the longest time, Japanese dramas were produced mainly for domestic audience only, international promotional is kind of an afterthought. But people gradually discovered J-drama and fell in love with it. So J-drama's popularity is always more quiet compared to K-drama. And tbh, there's this huge prejudice when it comes to manga and anime that people still use this to trash any kind of adaptation from these sources. J-drama probably would never reach that universal hype but that's never really their goal in the first place.
Even though it didn't do the whole world sensation thing like squid game 🤔 i think it actually did quite well when it came out...

In the begining of the show its showed all the stuff he's into and really good at, by showing all the different books surrounding him like: cars (more specifically BMWs),math, science ect. And they purposely showed that je was good and quick at problem solving and that he was smart in general

I'm glad reactors are picking up on Alice in Borderland. It was a delight to watch this back to back with Sweet Home in 2020. Altho I like aib better hope you'll get into Sweet Home too, Isaac because i love your edits.

I’ll be honest I saw Alice In Borderland Before Squid Games and I’m still wondering why it didn’t get as much fame as Squid Games. It was just as good, if not better. This is just my opinion though.

Not really! AIB was doing Pretty well ever since it got out, it just got more and more recognition after Squid Game but it definitely was popular and talked about
@@ewilan24 yeah, i've thought about this too. I also watched AIB before SG. I think the reason why SG got so popular is because they did a phenomenal job on the Netflix trailer. That trailer went viral before the show came out and is one of Netflix's highest viewed trailers.
I began watching Alice in Borderland before Squid Game even existed and it was definitely addicting but it's WAY TOO MUCH for me to handle, I was literally STRESSED OUT watching this shit and AND! It's been like a year or more and I STILL have to finish the last episode but I also don't wanna cuz I'm scared lol

I was so confused how the production made Shibuya Crossing empty because in reality that would've been impossible. But they did build an outdoor set to look like it and the cgi buildings is just amazing
i heard someone say that they used actual shibuya for some scenes and they had a separate set w/ greenscreens n stuff for literally everything else

Alice in Borderland is such a good show! I also recommend "sweet home", its a horror kdrama with a lot of twists and awesome characters, one of the best I've watched!

I think the reason why the show is so good is because the show runners don’t feel the need to reveal EVERYTHING right away. If you’ve only seen the show season 1 leaves so much unexplained!

Someone else commented this as well but after this I really recommend Sweet home. It's a horror kdrama and it's do do good. I'm also glad you watched this because not many people did before Squid Game but ever since it's got a lot of attention which I feel it deserves.

I don’t know why I’m so hyped but I am!! I’ve already seen this twice!!
I am a huuuuuge fan of Alice in Borderland. Idk why Squid Game didn't move me in the same way AiB did - the whopping 2 minutes of Kuina's back story nearly had me in tears, which was more than I felt for any character in SG. I had my husband watch AiB after SG and he agrees with me that AiB was more engrossing, but the point of each show is different so it depends what appeals to you more. SG is an outright critique of capitalism and exploitation of the poor/marginalised where AiB is much more existential in questioning the meaning of existence itself, so those themes will appeal to different people.
Yesss finally I'm so sick and tired of hearing about squid game when Alice in Bonderland is literally a master piece and is so underrated please upload the whole thing here

It sucks soo much because you thought they would be the main characters alongside arisu... but then this?! My heart dropped. If this show was in theatres, the entire room would be silent... Yeah the acting in this show is so good too... Squid game had good actors but the main character was very upset about seeing his coworker die, but he barely reacted to hundreds of people dropping dead beside him during red light green light. I like squid game but didn't like the characters that much. 456 wasn't a smart character so I didn't want to support him in the show, whereas arisu is smart and is a character worth following. That is my biggest reason to like AIB over squid game.
Fr arisu at least uses his brain to justify his plot armor loved majority of the squid game cast 456 was not one of them wanted everyone else to live but him 😭

I've seen comments promoting ALICE IN BORDERLANDD on several Squid Game videos. People who like Squid Game don't care and don't compare ALICE IN BORDERLAND at all
Go look under the Netflix trailer for Alice In Borderland every single comment is comparing it to SG or mentioning it.
The reason is that Korean government is paying for advertising, influencers, and online manipulation to promote their contents. They have a dedicated organization and budget. It is their national policy to cover up the negative image of the country with fantasized contents, like k-pop, dramas and movies.

I can’t watch episode 3 without crying it’s so sad and messed up. It truly becomes what they said the game was in the beginning at the end. The lambs hide from from wolf so that the wolf can survive. They hid so Arisu could survive 😭
