After you apply the honey stain, do you set it on a cup? To allow the stain to breath or does that not leave a weird mark on what its placed on? Dumb question just never stained before 😅 i also will assume that its food safe
It's not really a stain, its an oil, so you just rub it all in by hand all over. No need to set it on a cup. Set it somewhere to absorb for 20 minutes or so, then hand wipe and buff it all off.
Hello Sean! What I meant by drum sander is that it appears that you have a Laguna SuperMax drum sander next to your bandsaw in this video. do you use it to flatten material of cutting boards, etc? Are you happy with the unit?
You make it. Buy a 3/8" diameter flush trim bit, and a 1/4" and put the 1/4" bearing on it. Or buy a 1/2" and 3/8" flush trim bit, put the 3/8" bearing on the 1/2" cutter.
Matt, not a dumb question. The item as it is does not exist. You have to buy the 1/2" bit which comes with the 1/2" bearing. Then also buy a 3/8" bit from the same manufacturer. Ideally the bearing threads are the same (especially if you buy them from Amazon in a kit of 3 or 4 bits) and then you just use an allen key to swap them out.
The fact that you don't want to try to cut the handles of the wood out to fit in the mold, tells me maybe the template needs to be a bit larger where the handles are.
Hmmm... Possibly a decent name? I am concerned that people might assume its a cylindrical mold (for casting something that looks like a barrel) instead of a silhouette of a barrel. Good call though!

Thanks so much for saying that! Much appreciated.
Do you have to use a planer like that or can a hand held electric one work?
Thanks for this video. I'm a wood & resin worker. This really hit home with me.
I like the black light.
Love this guy he's so great for starer ppl like me I just started and this amazing step-by-step he tells you about, thank you so much
Working smarter! Love it!
Thank you for the information about using a router template. Genius!
Nice video. Thorough. You may have another career!
Great video. I loved the molds and templets so much that I just ordered them. I hope my boards come out as nice as yours.
Thanks for saying so, and for your business!
Awesome tutorial
Thanks for saying so!
Excellent video.
It definitely ran longer than we wanted, but thanks for saying you enjoyed it.
Can you use the ease release in the mixing cup as well to get all the epoxy out?

Yes @TotalBoat woodhoney is food safe.
This was the first video that I have watched. May I ask what brand and size of drum sander you use/recommend and why?
It is just a basic ridgid sander -> RIDGID Oscillating Edge/Belt Spindle Sander

It is a supermax 19-38, its brand spankin' new, never been used!
Where can i get that special offset trim router bit?
You make it. Buy a 3/8" diameter flush trim bit, and a 1/4" and put the 1/4" bearing on it. Or buy a 1/2" and 3/8" flush trim bit, put the 3/8" bearing on the 1/2" cutter.
Sorry to ask a dumb question, but which link is to the flush trim bit with the 1/2 trim, and 3/8 bearing? TIA

Can you please tell me about your planer?
It is a DEWALT DW735 15 Amp Aluminum 13-in Three Knife, Two Speed Thickness Planer. Its decent, not amazing, but does the job for a decent price!
Thank you so very much!!
1st mold should be Wiskey Barrel Board
What if don't have a table router?
You can still use a handheld router! It just takes more time.
The fact that you don't want to try to cut the handles of the wood out to fit in the mold, tells me maybe the template needs to be a bit larger where the handles are.
Don’t you have t-shirts that fit you a little longer so you don’t have to pull it down?
My shirts shrink, or I keep growing. Sorry my shirt length offends you!
Thats funny and mean.
How about calling them "Barrel" template/Molds?
Hmmm... Possibly a decent name? I am concerned that people might assume its a cylindrical mold (for casting something that looks like a barrel) instead of a silhouette of a barrel. Good call though!
