Thanks, Bob. I'm excited to get it dialed in and take it on an adventure trip. I've got the fit around where I want it (i might get another Brooks leather saddle though) and I want to get it out on an overnight. Hopefully I can do an overnight trip with camping in a "stealth" spot this weekend. So far the weather looks cooperative :-)
I like the trail there, have to look up where is this exactly and hopefully ride it if in the area. Congrats on the new bike. Looks like it's a good one.
Big Creek Greenway - north of Atlanta GA. It's a gem of a resource I use frequently for training - gets me into a quiet trail and I can do up to 50 miles if I cover both sections. I have a plan to do an overnight with routing on this trail
It's NE of the Silver Comet. I'm going to make a 4-day out of this route - ridewithgps.com/routes/37925636 going from the northern terminus of the Big Creek Greenway all the way to western terminus of the Chief Ladiga. The first 27 miles or so is the Big Creek Greenway.
@@AdventuresWithPaul that's a nice long ride. Are you gonna ride back too? I was gonna ride back and forth. I was gonna board the Amtrak but they won't take bikes in Aniston station.
Right you are! Amtrak doesn't do bikes in Anniston. I did a thru-ride a few years ago and I had to start in Birmingham AL and then make my way to the trail from there. I was able to ride the length of the Silver Comet on my "Backyard Tour" during COVID (ua-cam.com/video/m_sMBHgkK-c/v-deo.html) - can't believe that was 3 years ago. Let me know when you're planning on riding next year and I'll try to join you for a day or maybe more. Cheers!
Very nice looking bike. Congrats!

Wow amazing bike sir
Still dialing it in, but once done it's going to be a serious adventure machine.

@@AdventuresWithPaul That's great! Is it anywhere near the Silver Comet Trail? I'm planning to ride that one next year.
