SD-10 Siren Fail - Comstock Park, MI

I noticed no one had gotten this siren yet - now I can see why. I was actually curious whether it worked or not since I couldn't see a control box or antenna anywhere. Not sure if it's dead or just used for fire calls (probably dead).
This siren was located at the Alpine Township Fire Station on Alpine Church road.
UPDATE: Siren has been removed.

Always sad to see these older sirens go. Hopefully WSS has it lying around somewhere.

Yeah, this siren was probably 60/70 years old. This is one of the much much older sirens. There is still one of these in Byron Center that actually still works. ua-cam.com/video/SbQw8E6hvNU/v-deo.html I was going to go to this one some day too, but came along this video to find out it doesn't work anymore. I really like the 2001 ambience in the background.

This siren was struck by lightning or the motor burned up. I think they are using the 2001 down the street as the replacement

Yeah, there's like 3 within hearing distance from this siren. Kinda sad this one probably won't be fixed.

It’s been replaced by a 2001 and doesn’t work for tests, if at all.
