I wanted to share another vintage piece in my Louis Vuitton collection. This is the Speedy 40 in monogram print. In this video I discuss my likes and dislikes about this bag. How it came into my care and what I think about it now after having it a few years. Good investment or worst investment?

I still would buy from the pre-love market. The retail cost for a new is way over price.
Tarn X is great for the rivets and brass. Let it set, wipe it off. Castile soap and water is great for cleaning. As it is a PVC vinyl over canvas, a light coat of no buildup vinyl floor wax will protect the canvas as it is a thin type of linoleum after you wash and dry the canvas. I just bought a Jan 1995 Speedy 40. I love it. It looks like it's been I.storage it's in such good shape.

I’m thinking of going the preloaded route too. I have been hearing the quality of some of the newer LV bags are hit or miss.
I just bought my first LV piece, the Speedy 40 Jan 1995. It's immaculate, and I've cleaned, waxed, polished until she looks new. I gave it silk handle scarves, new lock and key, organizer, handle heart puff crystal charm and others. I paid only 265. on Poshmark for it as the lady said she knew nothing about the bag. It has auth date code tag, rivets, zipper, made in tags. The thing that threw her and myself off was that someone Graffiti painted in teal acrylic the outside of the bag, it looks like it was factory, but it's not as the first Graffiti didn't come out until the runway 30 in Nov 2000. But, it's a beautiful bag to be almost 30 years old.
I still love my speedy 40… i enjoy it 🥰🥰🥰

Isn’t it great finding these gems in decent shape. I honestly think the older canvas on the LV bags are more better then the canvas they use now.

I have both and the Speedy Bandouliér 35 is my go to bag. I just purchased a Speedy 40 as well but not in the Bandouliér.
It’s such a nice bag. I wish we could do more weekend getaways because I would use this bag for it since it does hold a lot.
Is the speedy 35 that much difference in size? I’ve been considering getting it but in the bandoulier

I have the speedy 40 I only use it for travel

Sure, I can provide the sellers name from Etsy. The seller is MauttoHangbags. The seller is based out of Santa Cruz California. The size I bought is in the mini. I bought the large thinking it that the right fit and it obviously was not. Great seller and great products. I hope this helps.

I like to think I can tell the difference between a fake and a genuine product. I have a decent Louis Vuitton collection. Half I bough at the boutique the other half pre-loved. I have only bought three bags from eBay and never had any issues with them. Most times I buy from The Real Real.
